Anyone use the Becker Final Review for REG? If so, can you share some opinions?

    FAR: Passed (10/25/2010)
    BEC: Passed (1/10/2011)
    AUD: Passed (2/26/2011)
    REG: Passed (5/28/2011)

@Johnny Drama. Becker Final Review is great. I would recommend it. It condenses the entire REG book into a manageable summary. Also when you pay for the final review book it comes with additional MCQs & SIMS. It wouldn't hurt to spend the extra dough and get the Final Review too!

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

I am taking REG Friday, 4/15. I took (and passed) BEC 2/28 using Yaeger, Wiley books and the Wiley test bank. They kept saying not do do extra, unassigned problems, but I did. They say the same for REG and I am afraid I will get outdated tax material in my mind if I don't listen.

This (REG) feels like a lot more material (than BEC) and I feel like my brain is about to break! Taking BEC felt like a really bad blind date. I was so convinced I failed I wanted to pay my re-test before I got my results so I could retest right away before I forgot the gizillion formulas. I almost didn't open the envelope I was so convinced I failed. I hope I can clam down and no be so stressed in the test this time.

Any tips on what to do the last three days of studying are welcomed.

I will take REG on 4/13, 2 days earlier than you. ( Do you use Yaeger only to pass the BEC? I will take BEC in May)

38 CPA.. Yes I used Yaeger for BEC. Yes, ” only” meaning Yaeger comes with Wiley text books and WileyCD test bank. I read the BEC CSO and ” supplemented it now and them with some macro economics ( where I was weak) and other readings ( when I was weak).

What are you using for REG.. it is breaking my brain!

I am using Yaeger lecture for REG plus the Gleim software. Now I am reviewing MOD 36, 37 & 40. Plan to review MOD 38&39 tomorrow.

I have Yaeger Notes for BEC, but I dont have the lectures.

@38cpa…. I don't know how the Yaeger notes would have helped without the lectures for BEC. If I had any complaint I thought the Yaeger BEC notes could have been formatted a whole lot better.

I suspect, that is suspect, I do not know there will be some overlap with AUD, and BEC which may help you in May. I want to fit in either AUD or FAR in May and start studying as soon as I take REG, Friday.. any input, on which one?

I took REG last april 8th. It wasn't that hard but I'm pretty sure I FAILED! On MCQ's there were very few questions that I wasn't familiar with. Most of them were covered on the review matl's…(oooppsss, I am talking about the MCQ's and I used Yaeger). It's like, you know what they're asking but you're not 100% confident that your answer was right because you weren't able to study and know the topic by heart. When I took FAR I didn't have to look at the choices because the moment I finished the last sentence with the question I immediately knew the answer. But this time, it was totally different. I made so many best guesses.

The TBS was a completely different story, though. It was hard. There was one testlet I never encountered during the review. The research part, i couldn't find the answer… But I know I could have done better had I able to study well. I only studied the first half of the wiley book ONCE, and that was more than a month ago before I took the exam. I focused more on the second half, from individuals to gift and estate taxation and covered them on my review twice. I know if you guys were able to study all the topics and was given the same MCQ's and TSB's given to me, you'll gonna nail it.

    FAR: 7/3(87)
    BEC: 8/31(75)
    AUD: 11/15(81)
    REG: 8/31(83)
    I'M DONE!!!!!
