Oh, ok. I thought it might be some weird combo version of Bama and Barner.

Well that was interesting. Just got home after a grueling 3 hours. I'd say it's a toss up if I passed or not. The MCQ were on par with the Wiley Test Bank outside of about 10 that I had never seen before. Hopefully a majority of those were pretest questions. The SIMS weren't all that bad. Some were tricky with nit picky details; hopefully I got enough partial credit to squeeze out a 75+.

    Fingers crossed.

I have no advice, no words of wisdom, no encouragement to give except to say that when you're sitting there, doing everything in your power to keep from giving up and walking out, stop and ask yourself if you think 55% of the people who got the same question knew the answer. Usually the answer will be no. So don't give up on the exam and ruin your chances.

yeah, REG sucked. Anyone else feel that even if they had studied more, it probably wouldn't have helped? Some of the questions seem so random and out of left field!

    FAR - 79 (2x)
    AUD - 81 (expired), 77!
    REG - 74! omg (3x) 87!!!!!!! I'm done! OMG!
    BEC - 81 (4x)

People say they've marked 5-6 MCQs per testlet and I wonder, because I had to mark half of every testlet 😀

And the sims were so much different from the regular tax stuff that I thought some of them could easily belong to FAR and even BEC.

I can't believe people have time to mark questions. I just answer the questions to the best of my ability and move on. I never flag anything. And I guess that's why I'm so puzzled on what my score could possibly be, lol.

@CPAman – my theory is to mark only the ones I'm REALLY unsure of so I don't spin my wheels on those questions. I feel better to move on, answer the rest to best of my ability, then spend a couple of minutes at the end of the testlet going back to make educated guesses. Besides, sometimes you come across another MCQ later in the testlet that helps you recall some information for a tough question!

    FAR - 79 (2x)
    AUD - 81 (expired), 77!
    REG - 74! omg (3x) 87!!!!!!! I'm done! OMG!
    BEC - 81 (4x)

@CPAMan – I didnt mark any of the questions in any of my exams either. Answer and move on. Your time is better spent on the SIMS.

    @veronica

I do the same thing. If I spend about 45 seconds on a question and just can't pull the fact out of my memory, I'll move on because there's something about thinking about something else that unblocks that fact. I wonder if it's like trying to think of someone's name, so you give up, and then a minute later it comes to you. That's been so important for me on sims that I thought about writing it into the “Rules for the Exam” thread.

    FAR - 90
    REG - 85
    BEC - 88

This test was ridiculous! I passed BEC and AUD in the past, using Becker and was happy about their materials. However, I feel that Becker did a really bad job preparing me for REG. Multiple choice questions were ok, although I am not sure how I did on around 30% of them because the wording was very confusing to me. The simulations were out of this world. One of them pertained to FAR more, I would say. Even the research simulation was really hard because of the issue they wanted me to find. I ran out of time and didn't have a chance to complete “FAR” simulation. It would be a miracle if I passed this exam. I am switching to studying for FAR and if I failed REG I would probably need to switch to some other materials to prepare for it since Becker did such a bad job. Any recommendations?

REG was brutal this morning. Every set of MCQ's seemed HARD. SIMS were just as bad. I felt like the research helped a ton on FAR and AUD, got no help on REG. I've never felt great walking out of the test center, but this is the only time I've felt defeated. Oh well, the waiting begins.

@CrownRoyal- I'm glad someone here shares my pain on the MCQs. They were insane. Some of those questions I got really dug deep into the concepts. In fact, I remember a few of them when I got home and when I looked them up, I had to use google because my review book didn't go that far into the concept. It's crazy.
