Not yet. I'll probably reschedule it 6 days before 11/3 cause that's the latest I can before the fee goes up. And I should know by that point if I'm gonna be ready :-/

Ok, so I didn't accomplish as much as I wanted to this past weekend, but I finally found some drugs that I think are helping attack this cold.

I'm not even behind yet, but I'm not a day ahead anymore. Hopefully only working until 5:00 then can bang out a few hours of lecture, reading, & MCQ later tonight.

Well, I went ahead and pushed it back a week….grrrr. That eats into BEC study time, but oh well. I WILL do this!

Study plan for the next 3 weeks:

    This week…finish R6 and R7.

Next two weeks…dominate Gleim Reg MCQs and Becker Sims/Exams.

Not too bad all in all. I do not think I passed, but it was a fair exam. If I had studied 3.5 weeks instead of 2.5 I would have certainly passed. I posted a new topic so feel free to look and post questions there. Good luck everyone!

Trevor I hope you passed this exam!! I am glad to hear it was a “fair” exam, hopefully that will burn enough flame under my butt to really start studying… I have a long night ahead of me, homework for corporate tax class, starting to looking through notes for an individual tax exam next week, and trying to squeeze in 2 hrs of reading Wiley… At least hopefully I only have 1 more month plus a few days left of all this craziness… I'm going to start doing wiley at lunch at work to get some more time in for studying…

Finally finished R7 questions. So I've officially seen all the information “at least once”. I don't have very much retained, or at least it feels like I don't have too much retained but I will start my specific “reviewing” (more like “relearning”) tomorrow. I plan on 8 hours per chapter. Hopefully by the end of that i'll have at least a few days to hit bad areas harder. Ugh! I've calculated it out as follows.

Days left til exam on 11/3 = 15

Minimum Study Hours Per Day = 4 (I should be able to do more than this though!)

    Minimum Study Hours Left (15 x 4) = 60 hours

Desired “Review” Time Per Chapter = 8 hours (or 2 days in my scenario)

Desired Total “Review” Time (8 x 7) = 56 hours (or 14 days in my scenario)

That leaves me 4 hours (or 1 study day in my scenario) to review “lacking” areas. Hopefully I'll have a few more hours than that, OR I won't have any “lacking” areas. We'll see.

Am I an accountant or WHAT??? lol!!!

Florida- I don't think you would be a “normal” cpa exam taker if you weren't losing your mind! I think you have a decent study plan, even if you add an additional 1 hr every day you'll gain about 3-5hr days (I think if I did my math right) for review! I didn't get through all the studying I wanted to last night, and with class the next two nights I won't be touching my books probably until Thursday, unless I remember to actually bring them to work with me… A lot of it is looking the same so far since I'm trying to read all of the Wiley as a 2nd time through instead of the Becker :). At least this weekend, I have another entirely free weekend except I have a midterm and research paper due next week in my classes….

I DID IT! I OFFICIALLY MOVED MY EXAM TO 11/3. I have that “thumping” feeling my chest now lol. But, I can do this 🙂

Thanks Trevor! I was just about to post on your facebook and then I decided it would be better here since no one on facebook wants to read about the CPA exam…

I'm going BACK over R1 today (starting back at the beginning now that I've seen all the info “once-over”) and I gotta tell you, doing the MCQ's after you have a better understanding of the big picture is much more “enjoyable” (f you can call it that) lol! The first time around I was around a 30-40% on the homework (hence why I was freaking out). This time around I got a 88% overall on the homework.

I also bought the gleim test bank to get some additional “drilling” down later :). 15 days left!!!!

That's nice to hear Florida Candidate!! You are so close to the finish line and I'm very happy for you. I wish I had a million to bet that you will pass REG and BEC. (I would win every time) : )
