yes, unfortunately the date you took it doesnt matter if you had a new simulation… you might have taken it the first day of the window and still be in wave 2…

    Thanks CPA_WDJ,

I hope you passed. I will just have to wait and enjoy this weekend of no studying. Back to Aud on Tuesday.

I did I passed with a 75!! I could of sworn that I failed because it didn't seem like the MC were adaptive. I'll take it how I can get it.

weneedrealtimescores – Thanks for posting. I have seen a few people after the 5/12 date that were released, and thought cut-off was the 13th due to a late cute off.

Jeff – do you know if there was an exact date for the wave 1 cut-off this time or was it various.  I am waiting for Reg in IL (independent state).  I didn't think I would make it wave 1 and seen others that have gotten scores (I thought).

@weneedrealtimescores, you are my inspiration.  I only work part time (30 hrs), have a baby in diapers, and still try to study 4 hours a day.  My goal was to go back to work full time in September after taking 2 exams this window and 2 next, but I failed REG this time (just took FAR this morning) and I'm afraid I'll have to quit the exam.  I can't afford to pay for these exams and only work part time.  It's so frustrating but if you can do it, I can do it, right?  My high school GPA was 3.98 and college 3.5 so I know I'm not stupid, but I sure feel stupid right now.

smrichard – Don't be so hard on yourself.  I have been at this since '07 and I still have faith it can be done.  I have struggled with my age (37) and I work / travel 60 hours a week, but I have recently (hopefully) found what worked for me to pass.  I think that is key to passing this exam.  I tried the lecture route through Becker & it did not work for me.  I am a read/write learner.  So after I didn't pass I took a step back and tried to figure out what I used to do to study previous to this exam that made me feel like I knew material well and how I could apply it to this exam.  I have had not so hot CPA exam scores, but I was on the Dean's list numerous time in college with a 4.0, and have a Master's in Acctg & Finance and had nothing less then a “B” in grad school (mostly straight “A's”).  I know not passing hurts, but it can be done – don't give up!  Keep at it and you will get it!  This site is great for meeting people that have taken an exam more than once to get there.  You are not alone.  This exam is brutal, the waiting is brutal, but it can be accomplished!

I was just wondering if a percentile ranking system existed anywhere out there for these scores.  Anyone have any idea?

Soanxious, thank you for posting.  It's comforting to know that I'm not alone in this struggle.  It seems like everybody was posting that they passed and I was the only failure out there.  I'm going to get back on the horse this weekend and study REG again.  Good luck to you too!

smrichard – you are soOOOO not alone.  I have been visiting this site since last year and have seen too many not pass, and a lot of passes.  But…there is always a listening ear here (I have found).  At work, sometimes home, and your friends / family will never understand what you are going through, but another CPA candidate will!  I am guessing I might have to retake Reg (from intution – not sure if I made first wave or not – I just know I don't have a score yet) so I will see you around.  I pledged to myself to concentrate on my Aud & Reg for right now and burry those beasts first and then try to tackle Far (by y/e hopefully).  Try to take it in bite size chunks and think about what you can do to make that next exam be the one.  I have found (after all these years) the more I read it, the more familiar I am with it, the more I hear it, the more I understand it.  The volume of the content is overwhelming, but it can be done! And I try not to look at it as failing / not passing because the more I do it, the more I learn.  I pledge one of these times I will be able to say that I passed and so will you!

@smrichard trust me you are not alone. I have been studying and taking the cpa exam since Jan 2008. It was only recently Jan 2010 that I passed my first section. For me I really had to make up my mind and say enough is enough. I failed FAR 3 times before passing. I failed REG once before passing, and I just failed BEC this testing window. But I won't give up and you shouldn't either. I'm going pay another $250 to NASBA and finish this journey through. I think we all, those that fail and pass have invested to much spiritually, emotionally, and financially to give up. I pray that you see the journey through. I was told by one my supervisors – who is a CPA- that giving up on this journey should never cross my mind. I wish you well on your Journey and NEVER GIVE UP!!!!
