You can call NASBA and see if your score was released to them from AICPA… then you'll know for sure what wave you are in.

FARbehind and others i told some of us here that had similar experience we got new simulations and they doubted me……well now none of us have our scores in yet.   i know my sim was on a new subject .

Hi Elsie,

Yes, I got my score yesterday afternoon (via email Washington State).  For some reason the NASBA emails me my score about 36 hours before they release it online.

Anyway, I got a 95 and I am done with the CPA exam.

5/12 -IL.  I am still waitng for my Reg score.  I believe I should have been in the first wave sitting on 5/12 from what I have read from others.  Is anyone from IL out there that received a Reg score this morning from the wave 1b that was released last night (383 scores)?   I know I haven't been waiting long, but I went through this last testing period with Aud.  I waited 2 3/4 months (sat 1/5) for my lovely “65” and didnt' have a score report until 4/15.  I am just curious at this point and thinking I got pushed to wave 2 again.  I did have new sims for that Aud test.  And I swear I posted this already so forgive me if it on here twice.

AllenA, how did you do it? I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong? Any study advice would be helpful………Seriously, I fancy myself a smart guy and good test taker and this thing is kicking my butt. I think my study habits (as well as being far removed from school, I'm turning 40 this year) and too much work (I work for a big 4 in Advisory) have hurt my chances of really studying adequately (no excuses, just being honest).

@Glutenator. I'm in the same boat, I work, I'm 35, I have two kids in diapers and my wife is prego with number 3 AND she works nights and I have the kids. I took all four parts in under 6 months. The one thing she said to me was, I can not believe just how much you studied. I literally studied 7 days a week since mid Nov, every single night from 8-11 ish. and every Saturday and many Sundays at the library for 5 + hours. Its miserable. I'm not saying you don't do that, I just firmly believe in following a program and to quiz yourself to death. In the same token, I tend to recognize when i am over studying, I get details confused and start to really over think things, thats when i back off for a day or two and pick it up fresh.

My advice is commit the time and do the MCQ's over and over again, read the text out loud and  read the questions out loud, to me it just really has a positive effect on my comprehension and retention. Otherwise it would be in one and out the other. Good luck you can do it!!

@ soanxious – it was my understanding that Wave one cutoff was 5/7. If I had to guess you may be in Wave 2

@weneedrealtimescores – don't think the cutoff this wave was quite as rigid. I was a 5/12 test taker and got my result in NY last night. I've heard of another 5/10 tester who got his.

I am thinking that I could have had a new sim because it was highly related to a BEC topic. I wonder if for 2011 they are trying to make this exam link even further between the different sections.

Elsie,No I haven't seen my score. Frustrating, but I have an exam tomorrow so this might be a good thing. From what you have said we might have had the same simulation (I had one with only 3 tabs and relatively easy but with remote concept in the communication). When is your next exam?

Since I took my exam on 4/22 and haven't received my score yet, I am assuming from previous posts that I will get my score in Wave 2? Seems crazy that they would make somebody wait 2 months.
