“but i think it did help me in a way”

LOL I would think studying for 150 hours for REG would in fact help you!

Everyone is different. Some people need to study more than others. No big deal. The main thing is getting the tests passed!!!

    FAR: 81 (1/20) AUD: 88 (2/27) REG: 91 (4/19) BEC: 75 (5/20)

It's getting down to cram time now. Less than 20 hours until I take the test…

I'm kind of scared because this could be the last test I have to take (ethics aside).

Thank! Good luck to you, too! This test seems extremely challenging to me. There is so much stuff to memorize. I can't wait to be done tomorrow.

I'm headed off to take the exam right now. I studied for about 80 hours over the last four weeks. Hopefully that will be enough to get me by.

Good luck to everyone else taking the test in the next window. I'll let you know how the test went sometime later this weekend.

Wow. I'm done (score still pending). The test was pretty rough, especially the simulations. I can't really remember if the testlets got harder or easier. They all kind of seemed the same.

Now it's time to wait for six weeks to see if I need to start studying again…

i got out of the exam feeling the exact same way as you. I took FAR recently and I feel like i was way more confident answering the questions, many questions in this test were of stuff ive never even hear of in the Becker books. And one of my simulations was about something that i never heard of before either so I completely guessed! Im really hoping theres a curve and that whoever corrects my exam is on a really good mood that day!! Im so frustrated!!

    Elsie,

Best day for a test? That's kind of a rhetorical question. I'd have to say the best day is the day after the test. Just kidding.

In my opinion, the “best” time to take a test would be one of the first days of the second window, which would be May 1-6. The only reason I say this is because you have a minimal wait time between when you take your test and when you get your results. If you take it before the close of the first window (approximately May 7th) then you only need to wait about a week and a half to get your score back. I took it last Saturday and need to wait roughly 8 weeks before my score is released.

That's just my opinion on a “best” testing day.

I try and take my tests on the last day of the window. Primarily for the reason Allen mentioned above. Also, I'm lazy a procrastinator when it comes to studying so I need the leeway in my study schedule. I only take one test in a test window so that helps.

I had my REG test this AM; it was pretty darn difficult. I hope I passed; it's my last section…

I took REC this morning. The exam was tough… plus I had to stop the exam twice…

The first time was when I got to the research tab of my first simulation. It showed ERROR with some kind of connection problem. I had to sign out and waited while the staff was working on the problem. It took almost an hour for them to get the problem fixed. I went back and continued the exam. My clock was short of 10 minutes or so, but the only thing I care at the moment was how little time I had left.

When I just got to the second simulation, my computer freeze and then it shut down. This time was not just me, everyone in the lab was experiencing the same thing. I had to sign out again and waited for another 20 minutes this time. I don't know what the problem was but they had to reboot everyone's computer and retrieve the exams. Then I signed back in. While I was trying to finish up the test, people were coming in and out the lab because of the technical problem earlier. It was very distractive.

I lost some while because they didn't stop my exam right after the problem occurred. I was very upset. I talked to the staff to see if they would reimburse me for the exam because I am sure I will have to retake it. I thought I did fine on the MCQ but I couldn't finish my second simulation because of all the computer problems. The staff told me that they cannot reimburse me because I finished the test. If I stopped in the middle of the exam, they could have reschedule me the same test on the next window. I am very very upset. The reason that I took it today was because today is the last day I can take it; it will expire otherwise. I felt like I wasted the past 6 weeks studying like crazy while working 50+ hours. sigh… this is totally not what I expected.

    ww86,

I've very sorry to hear about your testing experience. I would have absolutely lost it if that happened to me. There is still a chance that you passed the exam though. All you need is a 75 and the MCs make up 70 percent of your score. Even with the problems, there is still a good chance that you got at least 5 percent from the simulations, which will hopefully be enough to push you into a passing score.

    I'll be pulling for you.
