Thanks Anna, but im in PA 🙁 and I have several years of big 4 acctg exp in the past but all in tax.  For PA 6 months of your experience HAS to be in audit… the rest could be in other areas.

Its so frustrating that this is a roadblock when I have no intention of ever being an auditor 🙁

Cpachick, sorry about that. Are you in the big firm now? Can they give you some audit hours here and there? Or have you perform tax work on audit clients and bill it to audit (since requirement is in billable hours I believe)? Just thinking..

Thanks!!!  Luckily my job is not soooo bad…we are in a slow period right now…as the Visa apps (to come in the country not the credit card) is at a lull.  So I have been studying all day and all night…not to mention the getting sick thing was worrying me…so i have been getting up around 4 am to study more….I guess i was more worried because i took the becker live classes and the instructer said when he took the test, he kept asking himself what the crap are they asking me….

gonna do my 1 application now and study more…..Congrats on REG again and come tomorrow after that test it will be me, my laptop, and cricket broadband in prometrics parking lot going most expeditiously to the IL site to check my score.

The lady from VA BOA told me all scores received were uploaded. That means I am officially in wave 2. Maybe this is good thing in light of my upcoming exam on Sat. Now I can relax and stop checking the website.

I was at a private co in tax… but they had massive layoffs recently and so now I am unemployed and looking.  I don't really want to take another corp job unless I will have the opportunity to do an internal audit rotation.

A lot of the CPA Firms in my area are actually laying people off so I don't think it is going to be that easy to get into one right now.

I have been looking at temp jobs, internships, working with recruiters, and surfing job sites.  It seems like I can get a tax job but at places that I will never be able to get my audit hours.  I really just want to get them out of the way before I settle in some where else.

I am taking some classes, because if I get a few more credits over my bachelors I will have 150cr and can cut my required audit hours down to 400.  So that still leaves 10 weeks some where.

I am willing to work for nothing… if its qualified audit hours!

Okay, now that I got my passing score (90), I feel like I can offer some advice/info. on my testing experience with REG.  First of all, the question everyone has- did my test get harder?  Well, I really could not tell (and this really bugged me!).  So for those of you who couldn't tell either, that doesn't mean anything!!  Next, as for the written communications, I seriously knew barely anything about the topic and did not want to waste time using the research tab…however, I made sure that my writing was clear, with no grammar mistakes, and that I had a logical structure.  i wrote about 3-4 paragraphs for each one, with about 4 sentences per paragraph. I managed to score stronger in every single section (including written comm!) except for property transactions…and what's funny is, I knew that I had messed up a certain type of question (one that kept reappearing), but I didn't know it was called property transactions!!  On a whole, very pleased with my score as I did not feel confident at all when going in and coming out of the test.  I had only left myself about a day and a half for review and barely got any sleep for a couple of days before my exam.

bakagal, I know what you mean about it not seeming like it was not getting harder. The only way I could tell is that I kept finishing each testlet with less time, and eventually forced myself to move on to the next one. Sounds as though we had similar sims. Hopefully my score will be close to yours. Good job.

BTW, I do not think  TN has released REG yet
