Wait a minute…so we don't reduce 200c amounts by 10% but the 500 alone???

Ok… I understand 10% limit is removed for disaster losses but is still used for personal property losses. Hope I'm not confusing people.

Yeah the 10% AGI limit still applies to the aggregate casualty losses, but not disaster losses…. correct?

Individual casualty loss is still reduced by 10%, but disaster losses don't remove 10%.

The casualty loss must be reduced by $500 for 2009 tax year. It reverts back to $100 in 2010.
