    Cpachick-

For Audit, I noticed the difference in difficulty the second testlet. It was very obvious. However, when I took FAR, there was no difference in the difficulty of testlets for me. I was very worried about this, but I still got an 80. I think that it's completely possible that you know the material so well that you didn't notice the change. Try not to worry- three more weeks and I'm sure that you'll be done 🙂

Just took REG. Feeling good since my testlets seemed to get harder and my tax classes this semester seemed to give me a leg up. There was definitely some stuff on there that Becker either didn't cover AT ALL or just glossed over. Lets hope I didn't have a new sim! I can't bear a 6 week wait! I already have that for AUD!

    NY Candidate using Becker: FAR (2/20) - 81, AUD (4/3) - 92, REG (5/3) - 95, BEC (5/29) - 89 DONE!!!

    Hey everyone,

I decided to push my exam back until 5/19 since I was freaking out and felt unprepared. I HATE BUSINESS LAW (with a passion…if you couldn't tell) I am having the hardest time learning the concepts of this. I was going to take it this Wednesday and haven't even made it through all of the MCQs once yet, so I feel I did the right thing, but I really wanted to be in the first wave of scores dangit! Hope everyone is doing well with their studies. Good luck! We REGers are going to beat this exam into the ground!

    Believe in yourselves!

I (somehow) forgot how awful it is to wait for your score. It's only been 2 weeks and I'm already beginning to lose my mind, and we still probably have 3 weeks to go before wave 1 even gets released! At least I have BEC studying to keep me occupied, but it's always tough to focus on the next part when you're waiting on a grade for a part you just took.

    FAR: 81 (1/20) AUD: 88 (2/27) REG: 91 (4/19) BEC: 75 (5/20)

I just took REG today (last exam) and thought that it was awful. My MCQs were rediculous. They manage to ask the pickiest things. I think that all three of my testlets were equally bad, although my last testlet had a couple of “all of the following except” questions, so I think that may be a good sign. Strangely, I didn't find the simulations to be that bad at all. This will be a very long three weeks!

I took Reg yesterday (for the second time) and the MCQ's weren't that bad, some were very tricky though. The simulations were really bad, I am certain I bombed them! The first time I took Reg the test seemed relatively easy and I was certain I passed, but this time it was the total opposite.

I took REG for the second time also yesterday. 73 the first time. I could not tell if the testlets were getting harder or not. It seemed like the last one was pretty tough. I studied really hard and it seemed like the stuff that I thought would be hard and be on the test, was not on the test at all. I did not think the Sims were too bad at all. But I did run out of time when I got to the second one and that makes me nervous. I keep going through my head over and over some of the MC questions and wondering if I answered a couple of them really wrong and if I were taking the test again, would I get them or not because I would need an explanation on which one is right and why. It was a tough exam. If I took it yesterday, am I in the first wave or the second?

We should be in the 1st wave, the cutoff is around the 7th or 8th. At least the wait won't be so bad. I hope I didn't have a new sim, because it was totally out of left field!

I thought my sims were not out in left field. If I had plenty of time I could have aced the Sims. I actually like the sims better than the MCs

I took REG yesterday and I agree when someone said they ask the pickiest things, this is how I felt. Some stuff I know it was in the book but I overlooked it because it didn't think it was important. Yuck! To all of you who will sit in the near future: study the ethics stuff, it feels like it made up 30% of my exam. Also if you took auditing before this this is a good thing since it is overlap;ing and reg book doesn't go into details for audit stuff…

KSgirl86 business law is light on the exam (too bad for me) so you are in good shape being tax person. Bus law questions easy on exam. I overkilled bus law since I like it so much more than tax. A lot of material I studied never showed up… good luck everybody!

I am taking Reg. exam on 5/15 and I need to know what material is better for simulations? I am using both Wiley with Yaeger Cram and Becker. Do I have to concentrate on MCQ's now rather than simulations?

    BEC 2/8/10 - 75 (studied hard & prayed less)
REG 5/15/10 - 88 (studied less but prayed hard)
AUDITING 8/9/10 - 79 (studied hard and prayed hard)
FAR 11/30/10 - 79 (studied hard and prayed hard) Thanks GOD! I'm DONE

I think the Becker final review does a good job with simulations, going through each form step by step and this is all you really need. Otherwise, no special preparation for the simulation is needed. Usually, the simulation has one tab that is a tax form and the rest tests you on the same material like the mcq just in interactive form. Don't overkill the forms either, going through all once should be enough…

    Guys,

I am taking REG on 5/7 (last part/if not passed will lose BEC) and really for the first time I am staring to panic. I am done with the 7 modules in Becker along with their MCQs, but while working the progress tests and the final exams I canÂ’t get more than 69%. Please help.

I am getting the biggest hit on the law side mainly R6-R7. To be more precise securities, commercial papers, and real properties.

Please let me know if anything I need to do or to focus one to kill those beasts.

    Thanks for your help

    BEC 77(expired), 84
    AUD 85
    FAR 80
    REG 67, 81

    jean3019:

Keep in mind that the business law part is only a small part of your total exam score. From my experience, the business law portion didn't seem to go into detail too deeply. I'd say at this point focus on what you know you can master before the 7th. I think I over-studied the business law sections, when I probably should have put that little extra time into tax chapters.
