Hey guys,

I will be sitting for REG next week and I noticed during my review that I don’t have any mnemonics for AMT calculations, like add backs or itemized AMT deductions.

Did anyone make a mnemonic for AMT that you are willing to share? Much appreciated 🙂

1\ regular TAX- Adjustments (Deductions) FOR AGI- above the line: MAISES TO HAIDS
2) AMT ADJUSTMENTS: PANIC
3) AMT ITEMIZED DEDUCTIONS: TIMME
4) OTHER AMT ADJUSTMENTS: PEE CRIP
5) TAX PREFERENCE ITEMS: PPP

Becker gave me #2 and 3, I made up the rest. That'll be fifty bucks! lol

kind of: I'm jammed up studying trying to cram so I can take the exam Wednesday, instead of waiting until July

1) Moving expenses, Alimony paid, Interest withdrawal penalty, Student loan interest, Educator credits, SE Health insurance (MAISES); Tuition & Fees, One-half SE (TO), HSA, Attorney fees, IRA contributions, Domestic production activities, SE retirement (HAIDES)

It took me a couple minutes, I'm a slow typer. Let me know how if it works for you
