Does anyone one knows if we are required to calculate the Adjustments and or Preferences related to AMT ( Corp. or Indiv.)on the test. I am assuming not on the MCQ, but what about the simulations? Not sure how to prepare for this one. I would appreciate some advice. Thank you.

I don't think anyone could answer or even hint without violating disclosure rules.

My recommendation is that you know the adjustments and preference items well enough for the MCQs – which usually means you know them conceptually well enough for a sim.

Here is an old video I did on AMT

I was just asking if it is required. I think these kind of restrictions is little over the top, but i respect your advice. Thanks.

Well – it's not me that cares really … it's the AICPA. They don't allow even a hint and I don't think anyone could answer it unless they had seen it on the exam.

I was just saving myself the time from needing to edit posts, which is a pain. 🙂

I completely skipped studying AMT in detail. I just memorized the LIE PPP MIND ACE, and I was fine. I think if you know the basics, you should be okay.
