REG Advice needed…

I need advice, I am scheduled to take REG the 31st of this month. So far, I have watched all lectures, took really good notes, and am almost all the way through my first attempt on multiple choice questions (plan to finish them today). The tax sections are coming really easy to me and i am doing well on them, business law on the other hand is going horrible.

Should I go ahead as planned and just pound on the business law sections for the next two weeks or should I move my exam to October, meaning I will only get one attempt at REG this year instead of two if I keep my date as is. All suggestions are greatly appreciated and any suggestions on studying for the Business law sections will be very helpful as well.

The only reason I believe I am struggling with this decision is because I don’t know if I can handle another fail, I recently received my AUD scores and failed when I thought I had done pretty good on the exam. I have passed FAR and BEC and my goal is to be done with the other two sections by the end of this year….With every failed attempt though, my self-esteem seems to get lower and lower and my confidence in myself and my ability to pass is also affected.

    FAR- 69, 80
    BEC- 69, 69, 78
    AUD-59, 11/19/12
    REG- 79

Yes!!!!!! Business law is just repetition… So while doing your tax practice sims and mcs. Repeat a lecture!!!!

    REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT!!!!

    Good luck

I would just focus on working and reworking the MCQs and SIMS.. It took me about 1.5 days to do them all and di them twice in 4 days….Also read the Ninjas!

I know how you feel and why you ask advice on this. I am taking REG on the 27th and so far “I am on schedule”. The first time I took REG in February… My time management sucked and only could go over the material once.

When I came out of the test I was so mad at myself; because I couldn't have been given a better test! All the questions were familiar, the sims were all good. I remember telling my mom that if I passed all my guardian angels were working overtime for me and also that I was expecting a seventy something… Got a 70.

Now, I am here to kill it. If you already covered the material and all the lectures, you have time to review everything twice or thrice… As you keep repeating it, you will see how everything comes together and every time it is easier…

Stay at it, don't give up on time… and good luck!

As my friend CPA Peanut says: “You got this”

    B - 62, 70, 72, 79!!!
    A - 68, 81
    R - 70, 82
    F - 84

@krissa1018, don't let the fails discourage you! You've already passed two parts!!!! You can do this 🙂 If it makes you feel any better, I take REG on the 31st as well and I just finished going through the material once without having time to take notes of my own, which I know would be so much more helpful. I am planning on going through the MC and Sims once more and doing the Becker final review and that's it. I have no clue if it will be enough but time will tell. It sounds like you are in a great spot as far as preparation goes. Keep your exam as scheduled and just go for it!

    F - PASSED (11/26/11)
    A - PASSED (1/14/12)
    B - PASSED (7/14/12)
    R - PASSED (8/31/12)
    Ethics Exam - 95 %

Just waiting to be able to put those three little letters behind my name...
