I will be taking REG for the first time at the end of January. I am using Wiley CPA excel and Wiley test bank and I am struggling a little on the Wiley TB questions. I really need some advice on how to prepare during these last few weeks before my exam.

When you say “struggling”, how much are we talking about? to have a decent chance of passing the real thing, you need to score at least 60% on Wiley or Becker.
3 weeks is just about the right amount of time. Less would not be enough, and more would be too much as you'll start forgetting things. Make sure you ACTUALLY understand the material, and not just “skim” over the text. Use Ninja notes if you need to.

Finally, at the end, go over all your mistakes and use the study notes (shorter version of the guide) to do an overall review of everything you've learned.

I am making between 60-70% on 30 question quizzes that only have taxation topics in them. I second guess myself a lot and I get all of the exceptions mixed up.

Are you reviewing the answers and understanding where you went wrong? If you know where you went wrong and memorize the concept behind the question, then you should be fine the next time you answer a similar questions.

Write down the concept for each question, not just the answer. For example, if it's an AMT question that you got wrong, it's possible you don't know all the addbacks or you don't know what the heck AMT is for. Read the explanation (not sure how wiley does it, but becker has explanations for every question) and understand what it's saying.

Also if it helps (definitely helped me) take a look at the following forms: 1040, Sch A & C , 6251, 1041, 709, 706, 1065 (and its Sch K), 1120, Sch K-1.
