Lots and lots of MCP's. Keep reinforcing. I feel like REG benefits those with a good short term memory.

I would suggest knowing “big” topics in depth, but also being aware that points can be gained here and there on details from “not so important” topics. SIM's are reputedly mostly on tax topics, but MCP's are peppered with random factoids from other less sexy topics.

Cover it all and cover it again.

    Good luck 🙂

While preparing for Regulation, you have to make sure that you cover all of the CSO ( Content specification Outline)…

They can ask you very little minutia about a very small thing and they can ask you very generic questions like on Corp, Scorp, etc. You have to be very well prepared for it.

Understand the tax flow, the tax form Sch A to E, what all goes on each form, then on the corporations side, understand inside and out how companys are formed, partnership basis rules, M-1 recon, estates and trusts and how each of these flow on the tax returns and how each of their impact will affect 1120 or 1040.

Regulation is the new FARE, i struggled a lot with it, before passing it the 4th time with a 78… Simulations did me all 3 times and by luck i got through the 4th time. just luck and some prayers, really……

I am taking REG on monday. I just took a practice test in Wiley and I got an 84. All my weak areas are BLAW. DO NOT SELL BLAW SHORT. I felt like there were more Blaw questions than tax questions. I'm gonna spend the entire weekend doing mostly blaw.
