REG- Actual exam vs. Review Course

    Hi everyone,

With the exam day coming up i’m getting really nervous on what to expect on the REG exam. From previous experience with my last two exams, I found that the actual exam questions ( the MCQ to be specific) were much easier than the review course questions. For those that have taken the Reg section, how do you compare the actual exam with the review ( without going to details)? Are the questions as specific and tricky as the review course, or are they more straightforward?

I’m using Becker and I’m finding myself struggling a lot with the MCQs. I also purchased Wiley for extra practice. I’m feeling overwhealemd with the amount of material and the tiny tiny details that need to be remembered in order to get the right answer.

    Thanks!

    FAR - 82
    AUD- 91
    REG- 81
    BEC- 78

If it's important, you will find a way... if not, you will find an excuse. LET 2014 be the year!!!!

I found the exam to be trickier….HOWEVER, I was getting mostly between 70-80 on the MCQ's and got a 72 on both Practice Exams, and low and behold my score below.

    F - 89 8/13
    A - 83 12/13
    B - 87 1/14
    R - 82 4/14

    Becker Self-Study.

They call me Markus Sanchez. Yes, we're related.

@Lindrobe If you're a tax accountant, I wouldn't stress too much on it. I would probably spend some extra time going over the business law stuff. I'm a tax accountant and I felt that work provided me a good basis for the tax part of the exam.

I never studied tax before and have no back round in it whatsoever. This exam is already a killer.. far worse than FAR ( for me). I'm averaging 60-70 on MCQ and even those i need to look up in the book. Exam is in 3 weeks gotta get to studying!

You can do it, onmyway17!!! Every time I feel like not studying, I think about how bad it would suck to have to wait till July to retake.
