REG is my last exam and I want to pass it!!! I just received a 62. I am using Ninja MCQ and Notes/Audio.

I started Nov 24th (Monday). When should I take the exam? I can put in a solid 25-30 hours a week. Xmas break might be a bit of an issue but I can manage…

BTW – I paid for Notes/Audio separate from Ninja MCQs. The Ninja MCQs expire Jan 1. Am I really going to have to shell out another $47? I feel like I should get a break since I have the Notes/Audio…

    FAR - 76
    AUD - 75
    BEC - 75
    REG - 76

Now I need some experience!!! And some networking...

How long did you study the last two times for REG? Cause you'll want to study that much plus some to get a better score this time. So, whatever you studied before, try to add 20-25% to that and see where that gets you. 🙂

That's the plan. I will definitely add 20-25% study time. I started to read the book (listened to lectures the first time) but then realized that I have the basics down. I just need to hammer out the MCQs and practice SIMs. I am spending more time reading the supplementary material with Ninja MCQs this time around. I think I will be ready by end of Jan/mid Feb.

    AUD - 75
    BEC - 75
    REG - 76

Depends on a lot. Is anything close to expiring? When does your NTS expire? Are you working in public? etc.

@BronxBombers – I have 3 more chances until FAR expires. NTS is good through June. I don't do anything related to accounting right now. BTW – how did you bump up from 62 to 75 in REG? That's obviously exactly what I am trying to do…

Ah that's good, then you have plenty of time. I think your timeline is perfect, late January / early February should give you ample time to review.

As for what I did: I had 5 or 6 weeks to really go over all the topics again (read my book, no lectures). I always cut myself too short so I was only able to do MCQ's for a couple days. I think you'll have more time to review than I did if you just don't slack off too much.

I made sure to be honest with myself (as Jeff suggests) and write down the topics that I know I truly struggle with. Individual tax and B-Law are strong points for me so I only brushed over those. I really dug into things like Estates/Trusts, AMT, and 1231/1245/1250. Only then did I feel comfortable enough to pass.

    Good luck!!!
