I reviewed the exam scope of REG. SOX is not covered. I am confused if i should read this Chapter. Can someone help me clarify the test scope? Thank you!

Yeah, I don't think SOX is in REG or has ever been in REG. I just took the exam in November and am still studying for it.

Where did you get the impression that SOX was covered in REG?

It is covered in Becker Review R5.

To add to the confusion: I'll quote Andria's email to me. This must explain why I saw a FIFO question from FAR in the REG homework.

We have decided to not remove our SOX questions from REG for the time being. We are inserting the text below in each question and the reference book because …

“While the Sarbanes-Oxley Act is not specifically included on the Regulation (REG) Content Specification Outline (CSO), the AICPA has announced plans to increase content integration among Exam sections. Because this material is tested in the Business Environment and Concepts (BEC) and Auditing (AUD) sections, some questions on Sarbanes-Oxley may appear on the REG Exam.”

No – but just because a section has been removed officially, doesn't necessarily mean you won't see it on exam day.

It's just a handful of questions anyway.

What does that mean? I am taking REG as my last exam so I've seen SOX before. Would that be sufficient?
