I’m using gleim and gave myself 5 weeks for reg but one week I’m on vacation. I knew I would slack at the beach but I figured it would even out to about 4 1/2 weeks and I’d be ok. Needless to say I’m halfway through vacation and am 3 study units behind. I really don’t want to wait to take until October cause I don’t want to have to spend a month just keeping the material fresh. Any ideas if I can pull out a pass with what will probably be 3 1/2 weeks of study. I’m studying full time with no job but it still sounds almost impossible. Has anyone passed in less than a month?

Are you using Becker study material? I studied for REG for about 6 weeks without any weekends or weeks off. My firm is closed on Fridays so I only have a 4 day work week. It takes me a while for things to sink in. I feel like I am slower than most studying-wise. In my opinion, once you've covered all of the study material once and scored somewhere in the 80s on all of the homework, you should give yourself around 4-5 full days to do progress tests on all of the study material covered in REG. I have a calendar that I try to follow. I know that by for example this Friday I need to have finished through Section 3. Having goals per day/week/month really helps me. I've only passed and sat for one part so far, so I'm definitely not an expert. I am in the same boat as you though. I need to take BEC by 8/31, but really need an additional week. Would be nice if the last months of the quarter weren't phased out. The time game is tough.

Jeff has a guide on here for how to make the most of your study time if you only have 20 days to study. It's definitely not best practice to use that method for every test, but it does give you a fighting chance at passing when you've gotten down to the wire. Since you have already done some studying you should be in good shape if you follow it. It's basically work as many MCQ's as you can for 7-10 days, then re-write the NINJA notes (or other notes if you don't have NINJA) over the next 7 days, then hammer out as many more MCQ's as you can over your last 3-6 days. The key is to spend time on the MCQ's so that you're understanding why each answer is right and wrong.

I've basically done the same thing as you with BEC (I sit late this month), had plenty of time to study and just didn't do as much as I should have so I switched gears to the 20 day plan. It's pretty brutal but my overall trending score with NINJA has gone up more than 10% since I started it and I definitely know more of the material now. I have some work to do, but I'm getting there.

@silvercamaro77 Silvercamaro, where can I find that guide that you're talking about? I'm relatively new to this site. I am sitting for BEC on 8/31 and am not in great shape as of right now.

Thanks guys. At the pace I am right now I will have finished the initial run through, practice questions and sims with enough time to have 5-6 days of review. Ideally I wanted at least a week to review but at this pace that idea is gone.I think I'll start skipping video lectures and just read the material before doing MC's and hope for the best.
