Ready to sit for REG but test date pushed back to two weeks? What to do?

    Hi guys:

I originally had scheduled my REG test for the 17th of Oct but due to scheduling conflicts it was pushed back to the 28th. I have watched Becker’s REG lectures twice and have performed all the MCQs twice as well. I’m scoring 80-90% on all the homeworks and feel confident that I can pass if I take it tomorrow, however I have two weeks left…

When I go back to review REG, I feel like I’ve seen it a million times which makes me not want to review the material continously for another 2 weeks. I had originally planned to take REG/FAR/AUD this testing window but now it’s looking more like just REG/FAR.

Now my question is for the next two weeks what should I be doing?

What I have in mind so far is re-writing my notes and then, a few days before the test, doing a buttload of MCQs. I’m also considering doing additional simulations to see the information presented to me in a different way.

Would you guys recommend that I spend some of the next two weeks getting a head start on FAR (the easier topics – ie Gov/NFP; this is also my 2nd attempt at FAR) so that I have less to study for when I hit FAR next (taking it on Nov 23rd)?

Thanks guys, any and all advice is appreciated!

    FAR - 8/30/11 [60] | 11/23/11 [88]
    REG - 10/28/11 [84]
    BEC - 1/2/12
    AUD - 1/21/12

Did you reschedule on purpose or did they force you to reschedule?

I moved my BEC test up 3 days because I did not want to wait any longer than necessary to take the test. If you are ready now, I say take the test now. Are there any other testing centers within driving distance that can accommodate you?

If a reschedule isn't possible, I'd just keep taking practice exams and going over the 10-20% that you are getting incorrect. I would not start studying for FAR until you get REG done with. Focus on one section at a time.

    FAR: 71, 77
    BEC: 70, 82
    AUD: 62, 78
    REG: 71, 68, 85

Due to NTS complications (I'm from CA which makes you go through their own Board of Accoutancy before going to NASBA), I was forced to reschedule to a later date (earliest one was the 28th). I've tried various ways of getting it on an earlier date but everything is full. I've accepted the fact that I have to test at the end of the month. Just trying to figure out how to most efficiently use my time till then…

The CBA's system is ridiculously straightforward. I am trying to figure out how you had the test scheduled, but now you have to reschedule? Was the REG test on your prior NTS that you had for FAR or did/do you have a new NTS for REG?

I dont understand your comment that “everything is full.” The CBA doesnt schedule tests and I'm sure prometric has availability. The only other cause would be that the CBA isnt issuing a new NTS until the 28th.

If this is not your fault, I would be extremely frustrated.
