I live in the Northeast and I was planning on taking REG today at 9am.I got an email saying my test site had been closed for some reason… the hurricane did not hit this area and there is no power out. Regardless, I HAVE to take the test by August 31st so that I don’t lose parts of the exam- and I have to pass. I have been on hold waiting to schedule for 2.5hrs and have not been able to reach anyone. Anyone else experiencing this? Are we going to be able to take the exam in the next couple of days since the sites were already full? What will happen?! Someone please help!

somebody here said they were able to reschedule online without waiting for an email or to talk to anybody I think. Good luck!

Anyone taking their exam in Warwick, RI? I'm taking mine there Wednesday. I looked on the Prometric closing site and it says they are open, but I wasn't able to get a response when calling them. Just wondering their status, if anyone knows?

Call this number at prometric if your exam was canceled due to Irene. Be prepared to be put on hold for a long time and have your prometric confirmation # with you. I was able to reschedule for Wed. the 31st.

How can you be so sure they'll be open on the 31st?? I don't even know if my Prometric test center will open before the window ends. Looks like they plan to be closed for a while.

Just got off the phone with prometric, they are still working with AICPA and NASBA to extend the window. Otherwise they are booking in October.

Got in contact with prometric at 9am.. customer service had me on hold for 15 min while waiting for supervisor re extension of window (which sounded like a strong possibility but not definitive).

Ended up rescheduling for Wed 31st in the afternoon as soon as he started giving me the October nonsense.. Nothing left in NYC.. had to go to LI. Just didn't want to leave it their hands..

Ok, did my final studying today. I'm surprised I was able to study with all this excitement going on. But I did it. I feel ready to take this exam. Prometric, please open tomorrow!!!!

I rescheduled myself, minutes before receiving email from Prometric that my center is closed. I paid $66 and I submitted a refund form with Prometric. http://www.prometric.com/appeals. I was suggested to do this by customer service at Prometric this morning 8/29.

I am scheduled for 8/31 @ 6 pm. I need to take this even if it's late in the day but I cannot wait for October.

I seriously doubt they will extend the window. If I were to wait for Prometric to call me to reschedule I will still be waiting. When I called Customer service at Prometric they were not surprised at all when I told them I rescheduled myself and I want my money back. It takes 4 days to get your money back. Less stress on me this way, I have a secured exam date and I will get a refund anyway. I am sure they are overwhelmed at Prometric now.
