@dtomasello- Yes, a test where some people break the bank to get study materials and spend all their time studying for… and to fail by one point. And there are even some people that almost made it, but got a 74, lost credit because of it and now have to restudy for another section on top of that section he/she failed. So yeah, I think there's plenty to be upset about over a test score. This is a very time consuming and mentally draining process. So a 74 can really hurt.

@kricket, I think I am going to take my 70 in REG and take it to the shooting range as well! My husband is a gunsmith so I have plenty of ammo at my disposal to get my frustrations out!!!

Wow there is a lot of anger here… Just watch out where you use those weapons… Make sure you are only shooting on the range.

    B - 62, 70, 72, 79!!!
    A - 68, 81
    R - 70, 82
    F - 84

I am so sorry you did not pass your last test… I am taking REG next week and if I pass with a grade in excess of a 76, I would give that point!!!

Cheer up… Don't give up and never let a grade get you!!!

    B - 62, 70, 72, 79!!!
    A - 68, 81
    R - 70, 82

    @CPAMan

I'm not implying it isn't frustrating or emotionally draining. But if the thought of taking your own life occurs to someone over a voluntary test then that person needs need to seek professional help immediately… Go be a plumber instead. You don't need to kill yourself over it. What's wrong with people? I don't know if mentioning suicide in your post was just hyperbole on your part or if you're serious but it just seems very extreme to me…

@dtomasello- Fair enough. Maybe I did exaggerate a bit. I was just saying that a 74 is the hardest on a person emotionally. It probably won't result to suicide, but it can make a person feel very sad, angry and depressed for some time. I was just simply trying to say that the AICPA should go back to their old ways of giving either a 69 or 75. I think it's emotionally harder to swallow a 74 than it is to swallow a 69. That's just what I think.

Do not pass go, do not collect $200

Start from the beginning again. It surprised me how much I had missed even my third time studying for REG. And I still didn't know everything. Just keep digging into the material until you know enough details by heart to pass this piece of ****

What would kobe bryant do? Would he complain about it? No, he would get pissed and do whatever it takes to get his way

100% agreed!!! I do not believe in those “I don't know what else to do” statements. There's always things you can do and there's always more to study.

    Mr. CPAMAN

You still have share your new approach of studying after receiving your 74

How did you practice the sims

Dude, you are my role model, and please just share and save me, what review course did you use?

Thank you guys, after putting up a sad face in the office for the whole day, I m starting to put this 74 behind me….I just changed my mindset to like I scored 70 or below, that helped me feel better.

The thing that I worried the most is that I only have 2 more chances left before I lose my first credit. REG is really a no kidding section. I see lots people had multiple attempts

I know if I can improve my sims a little bit, I would definitely pass

    #364664

he's not the only one to have improved his score by 10 points on the third try dude just go back and start studying from the beginning with more attention to detail and hope you don't get screwy SIMs your third time

    cool story bro

I agree that a 74 would be the worst, but at least it doesnt sound like you will lose any other tests as a result.

REG is a strange beast. I don't know that I have a lot of advice for you other than leave lots of time for the sims next time around and use the authoritative literature if you need to. I literally used it on every single simulation. Overall I was pretty underprepared- I'm sure I passed only because of the sims. For FAR I didn't find the literature to be all that helpful, but for both AUD and REG it seemed like a life saver.
