….I didn’t pass REG again… :(…., although I felt that it could happen…, because I didn’t review certain parts due to lack of time, I didn’t practice simulations (just MCQ) and on exam I ran out off time.I just finished 2.5 simulations. So….I am trying to regroup and study again. However, I feel that I remember a lot of Gleim MCQ and I need supplement my studies with additional MCQ. What additional MCQ would you recommend: Yaeger, Wiley, Roger, Becker or ? My employer will reimburse me. For that reason, price is not an issue for me. Desperate for advice …how to pass REG!!!

    “price is not an issue”

Then Becker all the way. It's got everything you need. And use their flashcards as well.

‘didn't review due to lack of time'

That is a big issue. Probably the main reason people don't pass. I'd give myself plenty of time to study before each exam. 45 days per section.

If you are just looking for more MC the Wiley test bank is fantastic for REG. You are also really going to have to dedicate time to study and make no excuses about studying.

When you do the MC take notes based on the right and wrong answers but keep them short notes. One maybe two liners if you can. Do as many MC as humanly possible leading up to your exam. I have no doubt if you put in the time and drill MC you will get it next time!

You mentioned having trouble fitting in study time…try doing Jeff's ELL (1 hour early, 1 hour at lunch, 2 hours late) method to fit study time in everyday! When I set my schedule for ELL, I can get in easily 3.5-4 hours per day. Add Ninja audio to your commute and you've just converted driving time into study time! Ninja audio is great for the business law component of REG! Keep at it and give ELL a try! 🙂

I would also echo smp73 and recommend Wiley. It includes over 1000 MCQs and 70 TBS but you must put in the time to go over each question at least 2 if not 3 times, I believe you also get the testbank software to track your progress and simulate test environment. Best of luck.

    FAR - 85 (4/12/13)
    REG - 85 (7/18/2013)
    AUD - 89 (10/7/2013)
    BEC - 84 (11/27/2013)

Follow up on what Thomas_ said…I did every testbank question for REG twice and some 3 times. It honestly helped drill it into my head. The key for me was to go through them all once and then go back and go through then all again so there would be time between seeing the question again.

I would not recommend doing the same topic areas twice in the same day or over say two days as you are more apt to memorize instead of learn.

The progress tracker in Wiley is fantastic. It shows you where you stand and turns green if you are over 75% for a subject and is red if you are below 75%.

Great stuff…You can absolutely do this!

I think the answer isn't in buying more study material but asking yourself what questions you either did not know, guessed at or gave you the most difcullty. In my opinion the SIMS are the hardest part of REG and not studying those is a huge no-no. I took REG twice and I knew as soon as I left the first exam what I needed to have studied more (B-Law and SIMS). I focused on these areas and refreshed mysef on the areas I knew well and the second time I did much better (passed). However, I have only used Becker to study nut I never did a pratice test and never used flashcards or did the final reviews just classes textbook and MCQs and Pratice Sims (make sure you partice the AL too).

Thank you, guys, for all your responses. I am sooooo thankful that you share your experiences and advises !!!! I am trying to be critical when it comes to my studying habits. I believe I didn't pass because of my bad time management skills on the exam, I didn't practice SIMS and I didn't review Business Law section. I will purchase Wiley since my Gleim didn't have simulations. Few weeks before the exam I found out that I had Gleim without simulations, because I purchased Gleim package that didn't contain them. Needless to say I was in shock! Thanks to all..

atothez…how long took for you to review Business Law and Sims? …and do you work or do you study all day. How many hours you studied? What was your review strategy?

I study all section but focused on understanding those. I took the exam on the last possible day of one test block and then again on the first Friday of the next block. I work full time and studied 3 to 4 hours a day 7 days a week. My review strategy is doing questions over and over again, that is it. Oh, I might re-review some material in areas I got wrong. I could do a crazy amount of question in a small amount of time near the end

atothez…wow…that was smart to take one Reg exam on the last day of testing window and another exam on the first day of next window. When you was taking the second exam did you know already the grade for the first exam?…or you just kept practising MCQ until score came out, because you felt that you might not pass and took the second exam as soon as you could. Did you use this back to back exam taking strategy for all exams or just for Reg, because it was your last exam?

I took it on the last day because two weeks before I was originally supposed to take the exam I got in abad wreck on my bicycle and shattered my kneecap. The pain meds killed my study drive and when I took the test I knew I would have to take it again. So right away I kicked to mess and started studying. I had a good base so it was easy to just address the areas I needed to know better. This was actually the only time I did the end to beginning test taking thing. reg was my final test

Good god atothez, that's a horrible story. I @#$@#$ hate how people drive; fast and reckless. So #$@#$@ dangerous on the road. Wish people were considerate and drove like grannies. Hope you get better.
