I have been getting average scores of 85~90 on mcqs and sims and still have a month before I take the exam. Feeling over confident which is what’s scaring me. Any thoughts?

try a different test bank or move up your exam.

    FAR 76
    REG 76(2x)
    BEC FAILED (2x)
    AUD FAILED (2x)

That's a good suggestion, thanks for the help. I may try a cram like Yaeger. I've maxed out with exam matrix. What part should I take next if I pass Reg? Tax is my stong area. So it's all up hill from here.

Should I stop studying, feeling a little OCD here, 8 hours today. I feel like rainman, basis, basin walmart etc.

I'd find new questions. I've found plenty of sources of questions from wiley to cpareviewforfree. I even found some book of exam questions to buy on the kindle and I will say those are COMPLETELY different than anything I've seen before. The previously released actual AICPA questions (used in 2008, 2009, 2010) are available free online.

I will try wiley or move the test up. It's hard to find a seat where I am. I scheduled 3 months out fearing Reg, way too much at this pace. Thanks for the feedback.

If you're ready, you should take it sooner. If you wait too long you'll just start forgetting things.

    R 8/11 86

That seems like the consensus, move the exam date up. What is a good pair with Reg, is AUD manageable?

IMHO it depends on whether your strength is problem solving or memorization. I am a much better problem solver which is why I was fortunate enough to get my highest score so far on FAR. AUD may kill me, its like a history class.

Getting a 77 on FAR is very respectable, stay encouraged. You can pass AUD, never met an auditor in practice that clients like very much. Clients like tax people.

Thanks broadstreet, anything over a 75 is gravy 🙂 I'm not going into public either way tax or audit, I am staying in industry. Actually I hve my exam Wed A.M. and a 2nd (callback) job interview wed afternoon for a job that was never advertised-they just knew of me from another job I had applied for. Too old to switch career path now LOL

Of the three I've taken, I thought AUD was easiest. At least studying with Becker, this was the case. That would probably be the most manageable. BEC isn't too bad but the information is kind of random so it can start falling out of your brain after a while.
