Hello friends,

I have scheduled my REG exams for 11/23.I was able to study some and am almost done with 75% of reading my Wiley materials.But now due to some extreme personal circumstances am not able to put in even an hr into studies.I still have abt 60% of Individuals,Corporate and all the SIMS to study.I am not v sure if i can manage to do it.

My question is if i reschedule my REG exam for Jan do u think i need to study 2012 books.I currently am studying 2011 Wiley.Will there be any changes for 2012 exams??

I am so confused and sad.I so much wanted to write the exam this nov and take BEC in jan:-(

I haven't looked at the 2012 changes. But I think the best place for you to start is to go back to your review software and see what they say in terms of the changes in what they are putting out. If you are only using the Wiley book, maybe I would check out the new book and see what changes are listed. sorry to hear about your personal issues, life does present itself in strange ways, always challenging us in ways we couldn't fathom.

Ya,am doing only the Wiley book.So i will have to buy the 2012 book!!

@10YRS: I'm terribly sorry about your troubles. I know what that's like as my life, too, has taken a turn for the worse over the last few months and I've been dealing with that all the while tackling the CPA. Try to remember that everything happens for a reason and once you have this past you, you'll be able to look back in awe at yourself. It may not seem that way, but believe me, this will pass and you'll be a better, stronger person once the dust settles.

According to my review course, the AICPA will most likely be testing 2011 information during the first 2 quarters of 2012, so I think you should be fine with your current materials. Keep in mind that changes do not become eligible to be tested until 6 months after they have been enacted/put in place.

The 2011 Wiley book is outdated. You need to update to 2012.
