I am using Wiley materials for my REG exam.

They have task based simulations after every module.There are questions based on sections,subsection and paragraph.

I am not able to get any of those correct and thats freaking me out.

Do we get these type of questions in the exam.Any tips or help in how to remember these IRS sections and stuff.

REG has sooo much volume and i feel i dont retain anything at times.

I am using Becker, but I completely agree and am having the same issue with the research questions! This is the only section I have had an issue, and I swear I don't know that I've found a single one yet. Not even close on some of them…so I can't offer help but I hope someone can. We are guaranteed 1 on the exam, sometimes there are 2 and for the other exams I felt like they were easy points, but for REG I doubt I will get it at this rate.

Is this your first exam, 10YRS?

I'm not sure what the practice research database looks like, but on the exam make sure you use both the “Search Within” and “Advanced Search” functions. The Advanced Search allows you to search by phrases and you can also exclude certain words. Also if you are having problems, think of synonyms or similar terminology for key words such as draft instead of check, etc.

I never practiced any of the research questions and am pretty sure I got them right on all 3 exams. If you are good at googling, you should be fine on the exam.

@apbandj.. This is the first time am writing REG (and hopefully the last….wishful thinking).I have tried BEC with no luck yet:-(

The best wait to understand Wiley's SIMS, with the exception of the research one, is to print the results and try to understand the concepts.

I used Wiley test bank for all exams and to be honest those SIMS are very similar to the ones in the exam, so please make sure that you understand them. As for the Research SIM try to use one key word and then narrow your search using the “Search within”.
