Hi all, I had about 2 weeks to study for reg, and didn’t pass, i’m planning to retake it in january.

I used becker and wasn’t able to finish all the chapters because of the limited time I had.

Do you think i should just use becker ? Should i add other materials?

Any other advices you have for me is appreciated!

    Thanks.

Since you didn't even finish Becker, finish the software first and then you can decide if you need more content. I just finished going through Becker entirely and there is a tremendous amount of information.

Wow, and I thought I was pushing it when I took it the first time with only 4 weeks of study! At least you now have an idea about what to expect for reg. I passed on my retake by hitting tax hard, ninja materials hard, and of course MCQ's. I stuck with the same study material.

Do you feel like you are learning from Becker? Then stick with it and go through the materials again. Hit your weak areas.

Thanks all. And @ 10key, yes i do feel i'm learning from becker. I'm wondering should I add ninja notes or ninja mcq as side material. What do you think?

You wont regret if you purchase the MCQ for just $49

Ok thanks. Anyone else think add ninja mcq is a good idea?

Definitely! I only used the mcq and notes for my REG exam. I only had <4weeks to prepare and did about 2200 mcq. Great tool especially if you're in a time crunch. Barely passed but it's still a pass!

I just posted the same question in the reg study group. I want to know as well at what point to add the ninja mcq for reg. I am sure it would be a great addition but at what point. Is it a good idea to rely on the notes and mcq? I find my self relying on the question content and the notes and read little of the book. I really don't want to spend a lot of time reading the book but will do what I have to do to pass. I also don't want to spend the entire test window either so, there it is……

    It begins with a 75

I read the entire Wiley book for the tax portion and answered all the book MCQ, then I hit up the test bank section by section answering all of the questions in each section. This will give you your starting percentage for each section to show what you need to work harder on. I didn't read the book for the blaw portion. I only used the Ninja MCQ for that and I made sure to focus on tax first because that is where the SIMS will come from.

Don't underestimate the law portion. Study that just as hard as tax.

Agreed. You definitely should underestimate blaw, but tax requires more understanding, which takes longer to achieve. Blaw has a lot of memorization to it, which takes less time IMO. You can guess on a blaw MCQ, but it will be harder to BS your way through a tax SIM.
