I'll have all my materials with me – laptop, becker software, becker final review software, NINJA notes, becker flashcards, becker final review book, becker regular book, personal notes, Wiley test bank.

Yet with all these materials, all I can hear are slot machines and miller lites calling my name….

    ….that sucks.

lock yourself in your room and do NOT leave unless your hotel is on fire. try forget that you are in vegas, and maybe tell yourself that once you pass you reward yourself with a weekend trip to vegas to make up for it so you don't feel like you're totally missing out. i mean, i'd rather go to vegas with my friends (or significant other or whoever i want) than with coworkers and randos at a conference anyway….plus it'd be more fun to completely let loose versus having to worry about not looking like a hungover mess at the conference.

    REG (08/2011) - 73 (2/2012) - 72
    AUD (08/2011) - 73 (1/2012) - 86
    FAR (11/2011) - 79
    BEC (11/2011) - 79

@jjm1181 you'll be alright man, you've passed every test so far… I say allow yourself to go out in Vegas for a bit and return to hit the books at the hotel, that way you're not feeling guilty for not studying, and can semi fulfill your urge to party at the same time lol.

Win enough money at the tables to pay for your retake.

Call a “lady of the night” and instead of paying her for ***, pay her to quiz you. šŸ™‚

The first time I passed Audit in 2010, I went to Vegas the week before with a friend of mine who was there for a conference. I locked myself in the hotel room all day studying until she was done with work stuff, and enjoyed the evenings. Don't stay out too late, but seriously, who is going to study all day and night? I can only take so much studying in each day and I need a couple hours away from it.

I passed the exam. Last time I passed audit a couple months ago (since I lost credit) I probably drank a little too much the weekend before the exam… šŸ™‚ Worked for me! ha!

    FAR - 79 (2x)
    AUD - 81 (expired), 77!
    REG - 74! omg (3x) 87!!!!!!! I'm done! OMG!
    BEC - 81 (4x)

haha dude, you know you're not going to study… why let vegas go to waste? just accept the fact that it's a lost week and have fun

    REG - 74, 72, 77 - Key to Passing: RTFQ
FAR - 77 - Chance favors the prepared mind.
    AUD - 64, (5/14) - FREEDOM!! (i hope)

I'll have a 4 hour plane ride there and back…so I figure that's at least 6 – 7 hours. My goal is to study before I go out at night. Luckily I'm married so I'm not going to any clubs or anything. I am attending Phantom of the Opera and a Cirque show. That's about it though.

I've been studying since mid December. I'm still struggling some on tax, but I'm scoring in the mid to high 60s on the Wiley test bank. Clearly not where i need to be, but I'm not doomed just yet. The good thing is that I'll have about 4 full study days before the exam. Plenty of time to cram there.

But regardless, I'm definitely not setting myself up for success…I would equate this trip to 1 – 2 points off my exam score. So the question is…will that keep me from passing? I hope not.

The time change will magic on your studying schedule. You might study 2 hours in the morning, and 1 or 2 at night.

2.5 hours on the plane ride here. about 30 minutes of reading today and 1 hour of MCQs right now. Heading out to dinner and Phantom of the opera. Can't complain so far, but still was a Saturday that I could have easily spent 4 – 5 hours studying.
