Some may be wondering… some may not care… but I am giving it to you anyway! lol

Once again, a fair exam given by the AICPA. Nothing I had not seen in my studies. However, a lot that I had not “mastered” in my studies. Basically I took a bunch of guesses, most of which were semi-educated. I felt very good in the first testlet (4 questions were a guess-not educated). The second I could tell was harder because a lot more of them I just did not know. Again, I had seen it but was not 100% when answering. The third I would say resorted back to the first… maybe 5 or 6 that were not well educated guesses. The SIMS, again were fair the first I did ok (had some confusion on what they wanted for a couple of the boxes). Should get some decent credit… The second SIM was a little less confidence… Something I felt comfortable with going in, but one concept that I needed to know I just couldn’t pull it out of the back of my head. Again I think I got decent partial credit. The WC!! like WTF man!!! I swear I got the 2 most difficult topics to write WC on lol. I tried to stay on topic and checked for spelling. Maybe half credit… The Research I nailed no question. I had plenty of time finished with about 20 minutes left, prob should have spent longer researching the other tabs in the SIM…

Other than that I was locked out of the testing center when I got there… When someone finally came out of the door I could go in (took 20 minutes…). Next when I got in there it was super busy waited another 15 minutes. Then once I finished my testlets a nice error popped up. “Network connection has been lost, please leave this message on your screen and contact your administrator.” ok after rebooting the computer 3 times the message kept popping up. Finally they got on the phone and contacted there IT. after Another 30 minutes I was finally in!! lol it was a mess. Oh and when I left I did not get that paper that says I attended so I had to turn around and get it (especially because of the network error!). An eventful morning. All in all I am expecting a high 60’s to low 70’s. Mostly I know what I should study more when I get my score. After studying for only 2.5 weeks it is to be expected… I was going in there to give it a shot. I think I am close, but just not quite there. Maybe I will get lucky, but only time will tell. Good luck everyone getting ready to take REG. I will be snooping around if you have questions.

Well I'm glad you took it and glad to hear it was fair. I know what you mean about seeing but not mastering things, that's where I am right now with REG I feel like I have nothing mastered. I still have 2 weeks to go though so not too bad 🙁 Ugh! I hope you passed!

Hey Florida, yea if I had another week or two I would have been good without question. I hope I did enough also, but only time will tell. Good luck in your studies I am sure you will be fine 🙂

Hey Trevor: I had a friend who took the REG exam a while back, had a horrible time taking it (for one thing, in the middle of her 3rd testlet, her screen froze – put it this way, the whole place was silent and then all you hear was someone screaming WTF!)…it was pretty hilarious and I guess one of those you have to be there, but of course I felt for my friend. Anyway, she thought her testing experience was not fair with all the problems she encountered, and so she wrote to NASBA (I think it was NASBA but I'll double check with her) and told them what had happened, and she asked them that given those circumstances, if she could get a retest or something. Of course she had to lay it out thick and all, but in the end, they gave it to her, she restested and passed. The only main draw to her scenario: she can retake but she'll never find out if she passed or not from the previous test she took. She felt that she didnt pass so she went for it. What I'm saying is, since you feel that you didnt do well anyway, and I would point out all those bad issues you encountered, maybe it's worth wirting to them to ask if you could retest. Those computers should not be freezing up on you or malfunctioning or what have you…you're already stressed out as it is while taking the test. Just an opinion.

Thanks 75, I have thought about it also. Part of me wants to hold out hope on the first one, but then again if I can get a free retest with another week of review it may be worth a shot. The free part is the biggest thing, if I would have to pay again I would def. wait and see. Also I do not think it threw me off, maybe a little bit… gave me some time to think about the MCQ's I probably got wrong. Other than that, nothing really shakes me, I take everything as it comes anyway (pretty laid back). Basically I do not think I could “lay it on thick” because honestly it wasn't the biggest of problems. Thanks for the opinion and input it may be worth a call to NASBA. Thanks again

I would always wonder if I passed the first test if my second test was harder, then again if you are almost sure you did not do well, I would take it again. I would take that option in a heartbeat.

    FAR - 95
    AUD - 82
    REG - 94
    BEC - 84
