    Jeff,

I’m listening to ninja audio (2012) and wondering about the Canadian cousin example you gave.

You said the medical expenses would not be deductible, but I don’t understand why not.

He’s a North American citizen, who lives with the tax payer, and the tax payer provides +50% of the cousins support.

    What am I missing?

    Hi, Biggs.

He's a Canadian citizen. Not a North American citizen.

The example Jeff uses is if your cousin from Canada (implying he is an Canadian citizen) comes to visit you.

    FAR: 50, 76!
REG: 74... (ouch baby, very ouch), 76!
    AUD: 65, 91!?
    BEC: 80! Aaaand doneskies!

    May 2012 to August 2013. Can't believe it's over.

A citizen of North America would include Canada, United Sates, and Mexico

I believe he emphasizes NORTH AMERICAN only to distinguish between a US citizen living here in Noth America vs one that may actually be living abroad.

Do you have the 2013 version? That was corrected in the update.

I haven't requested an update, but will do so now.
