I just finished my R1 video, following the NINJA guidelines, cause usually I just skipped the video parts.

After almost 3 hours lecture, all I can remember is his stupid “HIGHLIGHT”, “HIGHLIGHT”, “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” “HIGHLIGHT” .

Of course I didn’t paint my book into neon yellow! But I sincerely feel that I didn’t learn a s**t from the video.

If there is any merciful person here doesn’t not hate him, would like please kindly recommend your tactics regarding his video lectures?

I don’t know if I can tolerate him any more.

Hopefully I’m not the first or the last person feel this way.

Skipped every single video lecture after AUD 1. Worked well for me so far.

I don't mind Tim but I always notice when he says “eccetera” instead of “etcetera”. Maybe I'm a grammer nazi but, after having both a JD and a CPA, he should know better. I'm most entertained by Peter Olinto, but his lectures are the least effective for me…except for his MYLEGS mnemonic. Thought that was hilarious and helpful. Mike Brown is my favorite.

Personally, I hated Tim through FAR and AUD. After I passed both of them, I liked him a heck of a lot more.

I should note though that I didn't watch the AUD lectures because I tried about a dozen times and couldn't get through the first one. Becker multiple choice for AUD were a huge boon for me. For FAR, my recommendation is to find a way to tolerate him because those lectures might really help you.

thank you guys for your posts. I think I find a way to cope with Tim. So I opened the ebook in becker and copy the notes to my book, then I just read the book and the notes, without finishing the 4-hour lectures.

My problem with Tim is that I can never get the “plot” as he go. Even if I'm focused on the materials, still, don't see the big picture. Have to pause and read the headlines. I guess it's just how I learn.

Tim is annoying to listen to, but watching his video lectures has served me well. I basically passed REG by doing nothing but watching Tim's videos, watching 75% of Peter's videos, and taking computer notes and screenshots to review for later. In other words, Tim's videos were my sole source of learning taxation for REG, and it enabled me to pass. So I shan't complain.
