Hi all, I have a question. I just took my “last section” yesterday and I feel completely defeated 🙁

I honestly never felt like crying while taking a test before! I am not sure if I should just continue studying for REG or wait until the score release date (~a week from now)? What do you guys suggest? If I do have to retake it, I will have to take it before January 10th because I will lose credit for FAR. What should I do?

    Thank you in advance!

    F - Passed
    A - Passed
    B - Passed
    R - waiting

I say study lightly. Enough for a break, but also enough to keep things fresh in case you need to take the test again. You will still have a month to study which should be ample time considering the info is relatively fresh in you mind

    FAR - 11/30/14 -79
    AUD - 2/19/15 -86
    BEC - 4/09/15 -86
    REG - 11/30/15 -87

    I'M DONE! ITS OVER! WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Your main concern should be getting an appointment. In CA it takes 4 weeks from the time you mail an application to re-test to get an appointment.

That being said, take 2 days off then get back at it. That is what I do whether I think I passed or not.

    AUD - 74, 99 !!
    REG - 74, 92
    BEC - 83

@Track55 I know in CA takes forever but do you know if we can send our application before we even get a score? I am waiting on AUD but it was hella hard for me 🙁 I don't know if passed or not but would it be possible to send our application before we receive our score?

@Regy_or_not I am in the same situation. I don't know if i should move to FAR or keep studying for AUD this is a terrible feeling. Hopefully, we both passed.

Are you kidding? Just take 9 days off of studying and enjoy your life. If you pass, then you have made the right choice of not studying. If you fail, then you also have made the right choice of taking a break.

    Thank you all for responding!

@ Track55 – I didn't even think of that! Wow, adding that to the list of things that aren't letting me sleep lately lol

@ Panda Love – I would wait, don't move on yet..everyone is right, it's a few more days light study at most

    B - Passed
    R - waiting

Same boat as you. I screwed up on the SIMS but like Another85 says, take a break. If I miraculously pass next week, then the no study bit was good. If I didn't, then I rested good (relatively speaking…) and ready to continue this quest.

    FAR 84 (AUG '15)
    BEC 83 (AUG '15)
    AUD 79 (OCT '15)
    REG 71, 78! (NOV '15, FEB '16)

Panda Love, I ALWAYS send in an application to re-test a week before the exam.

The way I figure it, it will take 2 weeks to get the scores. If I failed – which I have – then I am ready to choose the same section and pay for it. If I passed, then I can choose one of the other sections I still need.

Last month was the first time I did not send in an application. I already have an appointment for FAR and I think I passed BEC. But that was risky. If I could do it again I would have just mailed another application. They can always send back the $25.

MAIL AN APPLICATION TODAY. CALIFORNIA TAKES FOREVER. – M

@ Panda Love – to answer your other question, stick with AUD until you pass it. I know you will pass next time. The Ninja MCQ are very good, but for SIMS study Gleim.

@ regy – I have been having trouble sleeping since Monday. It's leftover nerves from the test.

Not sure if Panda saw this post yesterday. It's kinda important to mail in the app right away in CA.

Thanks for your reply Track55 i just saw this. The problem is, that i have no sections to choose from because i already have a date for FAR and i already passed the other two sections. Do do you think it will let me even though i have not sections to pick from as of today?

Don't you usually print out the application form and mail it in with $25? That's what I would have done had I remembered last week.

I think I passed BEC and have an appointment for FAR, so I will just wait till 12/9. I think if you passed BEC the CA Board of Accountancy would just mail the check back.

Oh wait, you may be right. I forgot you have to fill out some stuff online before you print out the application. You could give it a shot and see if it let's you print one out. Not sure if the 4 business days you would save instead of waiting till 12/9 would be important to you. Personally i HATE how CA takes this long.

I'd go through your review course and compare each chapter with the notes you took on those subjects. If anything changed, update your notes. Also, lightly study and take notes on anything you might have skipped. That's what I did after I took FAR. Had I failed, I would've lost REG. It turned out that I passed and I didn't need my updated notes, but I'm still glad I updated them because I would've been panicking had I failed.

    Passed all sections.

Im in the same boat waiting for score release. I was wondering if I should at least do some MCQ each day not to lose any info. But a week or two isnt that long and getting re-freshed again on the 9th if necessary may take a lot less time to do compared to if I were to do 60 MCQ each day for 12 days I was thinking.
