I haven’t posted on here that much but am in need of some motivation/ help. I take REG on Feb. 14th and am starting to get worried. This is my last exam and will lose my AUD credit in April I don’t pass. For some reason the added pressure of losing my AUD credit is killing my confidence as well as my concentration on REG. How would you study for the remaining time before the exam? Intense MCQ from all subjects? Re-read topics?

I have Becker and the Wiley Test Bank and have almost completed both sets of MCQ’s in addition to numerous random pop quizzes over multiple different topics. My issue is that I don’t seem to really excel in any one topic, but rather I am “just ok” in all topics. I have tomorrow off and plan on studying about 24-30 hrs over the next 3 days so hopefully that will help solidify some things. I can also take some pto next week if need be…not sure if it will matter at that point though.

Anyways, any recommendations on how to approach this last exam would be appreciated.

    Thanks all

I would say lots of MCQs and SIMs, the SIMs can be pretty difficult on REG, but if you're strong enough on your MCQs it can save you, but you can't completely bomb the SIMs and pass. Try to get strong in about 80-85% of the material. Every time I tried to learn EVERYTHING, I failed. It's quality not quantity (Unless you want a 99, then it's both). But if you focus on getting strong on about 80-85% of the material, you should be good. And be confident! You were qualified enough to sit, you are qualified enough to pass! Just remember to keep breathing deep breaths and keep plugging away, you'll get it done 🙂

B-79 (4th Attempt, finally killed you Nov 2013)
    A-81 (3rd Attempt, Feb 2014) AND I AM DONE!!!!!
    R-80 (1st Attempt, Feb 2013)
    F-77 (2nd attempt, Jan 2014)

Becker, Becker Final Review, NINJA 10-Point Combo
    ($M.O.B$)

If you were to fail you could take it again in April, no?

    FAR- PASSED (11/13)
    REG- PASSED (2/14)
    BEC- PASSED (5/14)
    AUD- PASSED (8/14)

If it's important to you, you will find a way. If it isn't, you will find an excuse.

I know this is hard .

All I can say is focus on the task you have at hand. You need to give it your all and just say i have less than 2 weeks and as much as you can dedicate to being very comfortable with REG, really focus on your weak topics and if you can do some research on the IRS publication website.

Like for example let say you are doing a question on AMT – you know what the preferences and adjustments are from your review company but I would say also get more details on the AMT calculations, read some small details too.

Go into your example feeling confidence. Practice the mcqs as much as you can. Learn from the mistakes you make. Make notes, dig deep and you will come out a Winner once you do the exam.

    Best of Luck!

Failure is not an option so don't allow your mind to go their and play tricks…it will wear you down. Take a deep breath, believe that you can do this and then go in and bitch slap that exam.

    You are ready!

    You are angry!

You are going to be DONE on Feb 14.

Good luck to you! Will be watching for you on the “I'm done” board next score release!

When I took REG the sims made me want to cry they were so hard. I would focus on doing all the sims that you can and hit Tax harder than B Law because odds are the sims will be all Tax related.

    REG - 78
    BEC - 74, 67, 69, 69, 70, 79
    FAR - 76
    AUD - 69, 69, 69, 74, 85

Well tomorrow morning I take my exam. I wasn't able to get as much review in as I wanted this week, but I did review some notes, SIM's, and mnemonics, and multiple choice, etc. I think after work today i'll just review my notes again and the mnemonics and try to get a good nights sleep. What do you all do the day before your exam?
