multiple choice were tough..i have no idea how i did..hopefully good enough.. simulations were brutal…i think i got the research question correct, but the other 5 were extremely tricky, and 1 of them i belive i got completely wrong, i doubt i got any credit on that one. are my chances looking slim if i got 1 sim completely wrong right of the bat, and probably only did ok on the rest?

i feel like i would have had to really kill the MCQ’s to pass this now.

Google “bombed reg sims and passed” and you will find all kinds of people who felt just like you and I did and PASSED. I think the REG section must have some extra odd scoring section because people who said they left SIMS blank due to time or otherwise didn't have a clue on multiple sims and they passed.

    I took it Tuesday:

    Research I nailed it.

    Another sim probably 60-70%

Another sim I think I may have made an 80% on accidentally

One sim I may have made a 10% on…it was the multitab one that just made me crazy.

Another sim…hmmm not sure. Maybe 50%

    Last sim maybe 50%

But I think I did well on the MCQ's.

I'm getting excited between these posts about people who felt they hosed up all the SIMS and actually came away with a great score. So maybe REG has the most favorable scoring method.

Good luck….one week from now we're going to be nervous wrecks!

    thanks for the hope!

im praying that that 1 sim that i KNOW i got completely wrong was pre-test….that would definitely help my case…

does anyone know how sims are graded? for instance, if i come up with a wrong taxable amount but multiply it by the correct tax rate to come up with the tax….if i get the answer wrong becaus eof my error on taxable amount do i get partial credit if they figure out that i must have multiplied by correct tax rate? probably a dumb question, cause how would they know what i multiplied it by….ahhh, who knows…im reaching here…im so frustrated..i wanted to pass 2 in a row and get on a roll..

I feel your pain, hang in there …. To answer your questions, i dont know the answer to any of it and guess what!!! nobody on this forum does either. Now there will be 20 posts after mine where people will throw in their little 2 cents on how exams are graded , it will be pure speculation on their part.

Your time is better served relaxing and not stressing too much. Let the exam gods decide how you did.

i always have a hard time post test…..should i keep studying for reg in case next week i find out i failed so i can re-take beginning of July…do i relax for a week until i find out,…do i start a new section, just to find out that i failed..?????

this drives me nuts….im praying for that 1 sim to be pre-test since i know i bombed it completely….the others i feel i at least got partial credit…..and im hoping some of my mcq guesses were pre-test so that maybe i did a lot better then i think..

too bad there is no way of knowing which sim is pre-test so i can relax myself.

I just took REG this morning and did great on MC. All my testlets got harder and the ones I feel like I did not know I have come home and found out that I guesses correct. No let me tell you about the SIMS!! I am feel like I bombed two out of the six!! I am freaking out that I failed this because I just went completly blank on stuff I knew!! I ran out of time and just put zeros in for the answers praying at least one of them was a zero. This was my very first CPA test. Has anyone else felt like the bombed the SIMS and passed??!!

I took REG yesterday and the very first MCQ hit me well on my pain. I don't know if I did MCQ well enough but I can tell that the third testlet was harder and lengthy, so at least I know that I did the second testlet alright. For sims, one of them I ‘ve never seen when using Becker, and others are just…. ewww, I suppose. No time to look up codes. I had about 9 minutes left when I finished the exam and used another 3 or 4 to look up the IRC and finally decide: What the heck, I want some fresh air and then hit the EXIT button, finish the exam, had a bowl of ramen nearby, and went to see Avengers and MIB III, OH yeah! those were pretty cool, highly recommended!

    Used Becker, all first try
BEC 2/23/2012 82 (Did the Becker MCQs for 2-3 times)
    AUD 4/03/2012 83 (MCQs for 3 times)
    FAR 11/7/2011 84 (MCQs for 4 times)
    REG 5/30/2012 85 (MCQs for 4-5 times)
    I'M DONE!!!!!!!!!

It's the worst feeling when you check afterwards the correct way to do a sim question and then know for sure you got it 100% wrong. Especially that now that I think about it, it isn't even that hard if I could have remembered or studied one simple calculation. Ahhhhh. If I get a 70-74 I will be furious cause getting partial credit on that probably would have been the difference.
