Is Property tested on REG?

I am using the Yaeger review and Phil said to ignore the modules in the Wiley text on Property (not transactions in Property) and Insurance. He said those are no longer tested in REG. But, I’m doing the online Wiley practice questions and I keep getting tons of Property questions. Wiley has removed Insurance but not Property. I’m starting to get concerned since I only have four days left to prep!

In the video he said he spoke with someone from the AICPA about it, so I'd go with what Phil said.

Are you using the Yaeger 2011 review? In that review course Phil did omit Property and Insurance based on the 2011 CSO. However, in the mid-year update released in July 2011 he said that we needed to include Property because the AICPA was still testing it. Yaeger provided a weblink for current students to a 30 minute review on Property by Phil. You could probably get by w/o the video if you look over the Property notes. Good Luck.

Thanks! I will check into that. I am using 2011 materials. Had hoped to finish by then but….yeah. Still taking these tests.

I've been a little confused about where to get all the updates. The only link I had from the materials that came with my purchase were to a March 2011 update. I recently purchased an update on the Yaeger site for $20, but haven't watched it yet. The description said it's all the updates you need for the second half of 2011. It's only 18 minutes long so it's different than the one you're referring to.

Hey, what do you mean exactly by “property”? I'm sitting next week. Do I not need to worry about property transactions?

Property is referring deeds, tenets in common etc. I can say from experience that its still being tested in 2012. However, you're likely to only see one or two MCQ on that topic.

So is real property (deeds, title, etc.) being tested in REG still? I have the 2012 Becker review and it is nowhere to be found in the book. The only reason I was apprised of it's existence is it's inclusion in the 2011 REG flash cards I bummed from a buddy. From reading previous posts it seems Becker included real property in its REG review at one time (maybe as recent as 2011); it seems very strange they would remove it from the review if it's still being tested. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Exam on Monday…eek!

@cah2c- Those are some impressive scores there, buddy! Looks like you knew “Property” really well. 😉
