Now, after actually reading some posts on here, I have to disagree with some of them… Simulated tests are great, provided they are done in almost exactly same conditions as the real ones, which is not the case with the CPA exam.
I also know when I'm prepared for a test or not, so that's exactly why there is no need for me to take a simulation test. Just the fact that I score over 80% on each individual topic after doing all the MCQ is good enough proof for me that I'm ready to take the real exam.
While everybody's learning strategy is different, there are a few things one cannot skip – reading textbooks and taking notes. Everything else is optional and depends on everyone's individual learning style.
I personally know myself well enough to realize that artificially created environment for a simulation test does nothing for me. I work well under pressure and if I have a plan for my time management and I know I'm well prepared, there is no way I'm going to run out of time on the real exam.
What's the point of this discussion again?? π
