The rules are so random and there are so many everything different. The first 2 chapters was laws and stuff and I was like easy this I can handle but now that it’s gotten into actual tax returns I feel like my mind is going to blow. I can’t even believe these tax laws are real, do I really have to remember all this stuff or is Gleim my CPA prep just going overboard and I should use a different prep software?

I have passed BEC and AUD by a landslide but I have no clue how I am going to pass this, I have a full time job and don’t even do taxes or have time to study like I used to. I honestly don’t even care about being a CPA at this point but I’m halfway done so I might as well finish but this is just madness. There has to be someway to study for Reg hats more efficent because at this rate 100 hours of studying is going to net me maybe a 50. I don’t know how I could ever file tax returns at a accounting firm because this is just madness. Thank the gods accountants have a lot of options and I work for the government because I feel like I’m about to curl up in a ball in cry in the corner just reading and looking at this stuff.

Any advice please would help I have no idea how I am going to pass this thing.

I completely understand! I don't know how I'm gonna get through this one either! I was supposed to start studying last week, I read the first 7 pages of the first chapter and wanted to shoot myself, soooooooooooo boring!!! I've never done tax, and only had one bs tax class in college 5yrs ago…. needless to say I haven't picked the book back up since….
