goodluck2everyoneMemberyou're part of the reason why I'm scared. To study that much and still not pass, I don't think I've studied 1/3 as much as you have so I stand no chance lol

I am in the same boat. I have been studying since Oct 3 for my second try at REG. I have kept count (don't ask me why?) of the mcq's so far…I have done 2,586. The sad thing is that I don't know if I can say for sure that I am good. I am consistently scoring low in the blaw subjects which pulls my overall score down. If I took out blaw things look good.
I am in my final review ( I am taking it on tuesday) so I am going through the Roger cram…….and then working mcq's from a new Wiley book I got for 2011-2012 with newer released AICPA questions. I am also working the sims. I should be done with the cram by Saturday, so I will just be doing simulated exams in Wiley and Becker and probably do some cpareviewforfree.
All I can say, is I totally understand, but don't lose hope, just keep working the mcq's and maybe go to Becker's website and do the AICPA released questions…you can google it. Have you tried the AICPA sample test?
Keep going! We have to keep each other revved up. I don't want to take REG again!!!!

RedRage00MemberI feel like the Bus. Law section is more difficult than the tax. With tax you at least have a right or wrong answer. The BL MCQs have so many twists and turns and little tricks!

I havent tried the AICPA sample test. Im just doing becker mcq and wiley online mcq. I've done about 1000 or so. I really don't think I can pass but there are two people in my office who recently passed so we stand a chance 🙂
Let's hit BLAW really hard this weekend so we can get most of them right and give us some breathing room. Good luck to us both

gottagetmycpaMemberwell I had a pretty “easy” test. Meaning no heavy calulations (which I am good at). and my sims were VERY VERY straight forward. Either I am very lucky or the AICPA felt pitty on me and decieded to help my failing score on the MCQ's. I was so terrified going in but dumb founded when I left. I mean think of the most basic of the basic question that you can be asked and I bet that was exactly what I was asked. How I did, I don't know but if I can squeak this in like I did FAR I will be excited but I doubt it. You will do fine just bang out the MCQ and don't just choose the right answer because you know it is right. Explain to your self out loud why the answer is right and the others are wrong. That helped me out during test day (did not use this technique for FAR). Good Luck!!!

MinimortyParticipantI happened to think that REG was the easiest of the four exams. I spent the least amount of time preparing for REG (about 4 weeks, 2.5 hours per day). I walked out of the exam with 50 minutes to go feeling fairly confident. Maybe I just got an easier exam. My point is, it is just another exam. There is no reason to go into it afraid or overwhelmed. If you put in the time and you know your stuff, you will do fine.

MinimortyParticipantlol Yankee – I'd take the test for you if I could! You will do fine. You have to go into the exam confident though. As soon as you think you are unprepared or doing poorly these exams will eat you up and spit you out. Look what happened to poor Peanut (sorry Peanut!). Just go in there with the attitude that you are going to dominate.
@goodluck – Why do you think you are screwed? Which sections are the toughest for you and what are you doing for the next 5 days to prepare?

goodluck2everyoneMemberEverything is hard for me. I can't seem to remember anything. I'm weak in business law and all the smaller topics like debtor-creditor, estate tax, gift tax, etc
I'm just going to review the ninja notes and bang out MCQs hoping to somehow make it out alive.
If I fail, well I live to fight another day

yankeeaccountantParticipantI totally agree. You are so right. Funny thing to share, I had my tarot cards read last window and she told me that my fear was holding me back on my exams. LOL!!! But honestly, I wish your bravado could rub off on me. I do believe that I can do it, but it is hard to maintain that when in the exam. I am really good at talking myself out of it. I have spoken to Peanut about her FAR experience-we both traded stories in the same vein. I need a little “Stuart Smalley” action ! I wish I could figure out how to embed a video from you tube to this site, because that was classic SNL. ……that and Schweddy balls !!!! too funny
Thanks for the pep talk-much appreciated
