    I just want to say thank you to Jeff and the other contributors to this site. This site has been a fantastic resource for me and others and I owe you some credit for my last passing score! I’m all done!

    Jeff’s recommendation to re-write your review material was invaluable to me…after I finally broke down and typed up all of my “fact nuggets” I jumped from a 63 to an 85! REG is 80% memorization, so if you are more of a theory/visual person this tip works!

    THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

    If you dont mind, were you strong in mcq's and simulations as well or comparable. Can i even pass regualation with scoring weaker in simulations. 3rd time , i have scored weaker in simulations…

    I think that I spent about 1.5 hours on the sims. I think that might be a little excesive for most people, but it worked for me. I tend to go through multiple choice very quickly. I either know an answer, or I don't. I also don't really mark many questions since my first instinct is usually correct. Even the “hard” questions on REG were not long, so that at least helps.

    Anyone else who has passed REG have advice on how long to spend on the SIMs? Remember to consider the fact that I'm recommending that people use the research tab to look up answers that they don't know, and let's assume that the test taker gets 3 sims that he/she needs to look up 80% of the answers on. That's not really unrealistic… I know that I got some insane sims when I took REG, all three times!

    As to if you can pass with weaker in Sims… I believe it's possible, but not probable. I got weaker on my first two attempts and failed.. stronger on my third attempt, and passed.

    @mena

    For REG, I was stronger in MCQ and comparable in SIMS ; for AUD, I was comparable in both.

    From what I gather, it's pretty tough to pass if you get “weaker” in either MCQ or SIMs. 60% and 40% are pretty substantial.

    Whoops, I lied. My first attempt I got “comparable” but bombed the multiple choice.

    Second attempt I got “weaker” with sims and did awesome on mulitple choice.

    Third attempt I got “stronger” on sims and did comparable on multiple choice.

    But I was looking through my score reports… all 9 of them (eek) and I've NEVER passed when I've gotten weaker on the sims.

    Thanks eartzi and kandis. Just checked my audit, where i got a 78…Weaker in Simulations and stronger in MCQ's…i guess does not work for Regulation or may be the curve was smaller this time.

    I suggest about 72 minutes on REG sims (180 minutes for exam * 40% weight to sims).
