My sims weren’t too bad, but my MCQs were crazy!

There were things on my exam that required algebra. there were scenarios that i didn’t see on any test bank. It almost required problem solving skills.

They asked about little details that I don’t anyone would ever think to study…

I have feeling that i failed. Good luck to all you guys. i don’t know whether to continue studying reg or

To move on to another section…

Wait for the scores, perhaps you cleared it! What review did you use?

My REG experience had been unlike others posted here. I found both MCQ and sims doable. Going into test I was so aware of how many things can go wrong with REG sims and how they can be made a monster, but fate had it and I did not experience a lot of difficulties.

Looking forward to your passing. Meanwhile, maybe get take time off and get refreshed for the next section 🙂

yeah… Sims were definitely doable for me too.

The MCQs took me 2 hours to complete, which left me with only 1 hour to do the sims.

To my surprise, all the sims were full of “Gimmes” (no brainer points). The codifications usually give me the most trouble, , so i saved it for last. i really had 5 minutes to finish it. I finished the codification in literally seconds. It was such an easy one too–Matched word-for-word with the senario.

There are a few lists that I memorized even though becker only highlighted a few items within.. They asked about an item, which nearly everyone has assumed would not show up on the exam! I am glad i memorized that list, and I memorized it only 3 hours before the exam because I blew it off as something they wouldnt ask about. That entire becker book is fair game guys. Memorize every list and mnemomic that you can.

The CPA exam is not a concept-only exam.

@Wannabecpa123 – just got out of my REG exam and it was exactly the same as yours. My MCQs were mostly theory about things that I don't remember even seeing. The SIMs were very manageable though. My only hope is that the 2nd & 3rd testlets seemed to both be more difficult than the first.

@jdwalton That actually sounds like my experience. The multiple choice were way too broad based but on random things that I didn't focus on. I went deep in my studying and felt the MC overall wasn't a good representation of the 5 1/2 weeks studying I did.
