I don’t get what I’m doing wrong here I study as often as I can do the MCQ’s, Simulations and the worst part is they don’t tell you what you did wrong.

Any advice on how to prepare differently the second time around?

I'm going to parrot a lot of people on these boards, but if you don't have Ninja Notes/Audio, do get them. I'm convinced that the the Ninja stuff helped me pass REG, especially the notes. I'm not sure how you're studying, but I also followed the Ninja plan (watch all of the videos while taking notes and then do the MCQs and rewrite notes) and it has worked for me.

These ideas are often repeated on the forum as well.

When you do your restudy, study as if you haven't taken it before. So, start from the beginning, no short cuts. You are studying for 75 points, not 10 points or whatever. Be honest with yourself about each topic. Did you really KNOW it? Maybe you avoided reviewing some topics for whatever reason. Who really likes to dig into AMT right? Throughout your studying when you realize that you only have high level knowledge but not real understanding. Stop. Ask questions on the forum. Reread that section in the book and do MCP's until you really understand it.

CF98– I've found that re-writing my notes is very helpful. Also, I've been creating “cheat sheets” that put information into chart form. For example, for REG, I wrote out a chart of the differences between partnerships, corporations, LLCs, etc. I also made a chart of all the important tax credits. Good luck- you can do this!

I have stacks of notes, my fingers hurt from re-writing and 2 pens ran out of ink…I guess I must not have understood the concepts as well as I thought and have to start from scratch…

I hate REG!! I just purchased the 10 point combo. Has anyone used this? I'm hoping it helps because I don't think I can stand listening to Tim and Peter anymore!!

The Ninja material will help you. It has helped a lot of people but also you need to stay focused and work hard. You will pass too 🙂
