The formula and everything. How indepth are the AMT questions? Would I need to do some calculations on it or are they more straight forward.

You aren't going to like my response but you must be prepared for anything and everything.

You may not get a single question, you may get one multiple choice or you may get an entire simulation.

Allyson is correct. I've taken REG 3 times.. Anything is game for AMT–or any subject for that matter

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

I'm getting scared 🙁 My memory sucks and this test is all about memorizing little details

When I passed REG I knew the preference items and the formula.

how well must you know the phaseouts? I ask because Becker says that they were making the video and books before the tax changes were finalized. Jeff does your notes reflect the 2011 tax laws ( i have already purchased)

    FAR 76
    REG 76(2x)
    BEC FAILED (2x)
    AUD FAILED (2x)

The AICPA generally doesn't test on phaseouts because tax laws change and it requires them to update their questions.

When I passed REG (92) – I only had the Section 179 phaseout memorized. I only post my score to say that I did just fine despite not memorizing phaseouts.
