Just took my first Becker mock test for Reg and got a 63. I got the research question wrong. Searched for a good 15 minutes. I only took 2 hours total on the Exam. Im pretty good with the multiple choice but with the sims, I struggle.

Ive read people saying that you can use the A.I. on the Sims to help you through every problem. What is the secret to searches? My keywords never seem to lead me in the right direction.

what i do is, on the AL you have to really understand what they are truly asking you. Especially with REG, they require a little background knowledge of content. Sometime they use terms such as “authority”, “Ruling”, “Application” which are basically buzz words that should set off key hints on the type of answer they want for that specific problem. what i do usually, which has worked so far (Hopefully it does on the 31st for REG, LOL)

    1. Write down the stem of the question, circle the keywords that will give you the right search (This you will have to practice, practice, and practice until you get it down. Do all of the AL questions if you have to)
    2. Know if they are asking for the definition of the concept, tax application, limitation, phases outs, exception, basically know the tax concepts they want. They once you look it up based on the keywords, use the advance search function and search within.

This works for me, hopefully it will with you. But i think you just need to practice, they can get hard depending on the type of content they ask, but its easy points on the exam which everyone needs.

    Good luck!.
