I'm taking REG in 2 weeks and I haven't started studying yet.

I figure I have nothing to lose but the cost of the exam. I looked over the released questions and got most of them correct. I'll start the WTB this weekend. I've been preparing tax returns for 6 years so this stuff is easy compared to FAR for me.

    FAR: 65,49,61,74,78
    AUD: 65,68,64,78
    REG: 56,77
    BEC: 75

1 month studying at least 3 hours a day, leaving enough time to go through all the mcqs twice and re-write notes.

Focus should be on knowing everything about something and something about everything, so that you can get that 75 no matter what they ask you.

    CPA - Since 2015
    CISA - Smashed 2012
    CIA - Passed 2015

3 weeks studying full time equates to 120 hours if you only do 8 hours a day 5 days a week like you would if you working. That doesn't seem like too little time to me. If you working you need to think about things in terms of hours and not weeks. 100-150 hours seems to be the range I've seen on here for REG.

I've been studying for almost 2 months and I just blew 35 bucks having to push the test back which totally sucks. I work full time and have ADD but still REG is a beast way worse than BEC and AUD. I would say you need at least 3 months in my opinion. I know someone who passed BEC and FAR in 1 window and he failed REG. If you have experience in taxes obviously it's different but for someone like me where this is all new and they never filed a tax return in their life you need 3 months I'd say. I'm gonna be going on close to 4 months for REG and I still don't know if I'll pass in April.

it confuses me that so many people take tests studying less than a month. Why not just study longer? There are no prizes for speed. I took 12 weeks for Reg studying 15-20 hours a week. The process is much less stressful IMO if you spread out the tests evenly over about 9-10 months and pass because you are well prepared.

I couldn't even pass it in 12 weeks at 15-20 hours a week. I would need at least 24 weeks or 2 testing windows at that pace. Reg is extremly hard I wish I had just taken it after my personal income tax class, I would've already known like 5 chapters.

Study until you know the material.

    There is no benchmark

    FAR - 83
    AUD - 73 92
    BEC - 83
    REG - 88
