First time posting , although, I am reading this blog every day. Currently I am restudying REG and I was wondering how many MC questions you are able to do a day and on the weekends. I have a full time job and usually I am able to answer 30-40 questions a day. What about you?

I'm studying for REG now and have a full time job too, I try to do at least 100 MCQs per day (unless I'm watching the Becker lectures). MCQs are the most important part of your review. Remember to read the explanations and understand why you got the questions right or wrong.

I am studying for REG and do at least 100 on weekdays (I work full time) and at least 250 on the weekends and I try to do more than that amount but that is my “base” for any given day.

I did 100/day plus rewrote 10 pages/day of the ninja notes. If I could have fit in 200/day I would have……but with a f/t job, 2 kids and 2 Grad classes it wasn't happening!

Damn, I had a feeling that doing 50 a day was somewhat weak. I feel though that I can't do more than that because of the level of quality degradation that I start experiencing once if I start doing to many. What I mean by that is that I start not really trying to understand the explanations and that makes me think that all I'm doing is just doing questions for its own sake.

to…Spur and mla1169 that is impressive !!! Could you tell me more about how you are able to do so many MC. How many hours you study on the workdays and when (morning, lunch-brake and evening). Do you read answers even if your answer was correct? I am using Gleim and sometime if feels that the questions are harder than in acctual exam… On the other hand, English is not my native language and maybe that is effecting my productivity. I am just trying to understant how I can improve my studying habits…..and productivity…

Umm 200-250 MCQ's a DAY?! Ain't nobody got time for that! Seriously, who cares how many you do a day? I try to get at least 1500-1700 done by test day and my big thing is doing a 10 or 20 question pop quiz each day that covers the sections i have done so far.

Well, you do the math. In AUD it takes 30 seconds to do one question. Done in sets of 25. 100 at leas per hour lunch. At home two hours worth. By the way, I'm married with 2 kids and full time job.

VR, I can imagine english as a 2nd language must make matters more challenging!

I was EXCEPTIONALLY fortunate that I could multi task, and that I could log into the wiley test bank from work. Every 10 minutes or so during the workday I'd do one or two MC questions between work tasks.

At night I gave 2 hours to studying (CPA) on weekdays, and then 4-5 hours per day on weekends.

I actually read a post on this forum that helped me do more MCQ's than ever before. The person wrote that they broke up the questions into 10 question blocks. I do that, 5 blocks of 10 a day and it makes the questions fly by. I don't really get fatigued from doing 50. I really try to read and understand each answer explanation, right or wrong. Also, for the wrong ones I type out the explanation in my own words under each topic that I am doing the MCQ's from.

AUD goes much faster because there are no computatinal problems. However, you will get faster at FAR once you start getting the same or similar problems over and over and see the pattern. Remember, for FAR you need to do each MC problem on an average of every 1.5 minutes to have enough time for the sims.

    FAR - 10/3/12 - 86
    BEC - 11/27/12 - 70 1/14/13 - 81

For me it was important how I did MCQ rather than the quantity. After I finished my review course, I started reviewing the modules again and took notes of the (wiley) book. I then did 30 mcqs on wiley test bank after each mod. After I was done I started doing 30-45 mcqs on all mods since I was doing other things reviewing notes and more importantly taking notes on all mcqs. By the week before the test, I am done with mcqs and have a bunch of notes to review in the last days.

For FAR I tried to do 100 questions a day but usually could get closer to 120-140. I do my questions in groups of 20, I read every answer right or wrong. But will admit if it's right sometimes I just skim. For REG I also am trying for 100 a day. I try to study 3-4 hours a weeknight but most nights its 2-3 and weekends I try for 5-6 hours.

RE Gleim – I am using it as well and a lot of their questions are adapted and are harder than the exam. I found this frustrating so I also purchased the Wiley Testbank, I do 40 questions in Gleim 20 in Wiley, I mix it up!

    A - 61, 91!!
    B - 78!
    F - 76!!!
    R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!

    Finally done!

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!
