I have my test scheduled for Dec 9th and I have just got up to R6. There are small details that it is so hard to memorized everything. I’m not sure how best to tackle the business law portion. I was planning on just focusing on past AICPA questions and just reading up on the the NINJA notes for those sections and focusing more time on tax. I also heard agency and business structure is heavily tested.

Definitely focus mostly on tax and ethics, but make sure you've at least covered all of the b law stuff. You don't need to memorize every detail but try to be familiar with all of it.

Blaw and Ethics make up about 40% of the test according to the content specifications, while tax makes up around 60%. More likely than not, Blaw and ethics will be easy mcqs.

I'm not using Becker, but the Ninja mcq's are kicking my @ss! The contracts and UCC section are brutal. Way too much detail to remember everything on top of all the tax stuff! Hoping to be done with all blaw mcq's by Friday so I can start reviewing for my exam on 11/26.

    FAR: 75 Roger & Ninja (notes/flashcards/audio/MCQ)
    AUD: 73, 81
    BEC: 71, retake 8/29

I just made a topic about this yesterday lol.

Yes I agree there is too much detail for BLaw which makes up only 20% of the exam.

When you guys say “familiarize” yourself with blaw what does that mean? Does it mean know certain terminology like UCC and Common law differences from a top level?

I got the BLaw/Ethics test of death my second take. My third and fourth takes were kind of light. My first take was well mixed. You never know, so make sure you spend just as much time doing BLAW/Ethcis than you spend prepping with tax.

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
    REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)

@waffle_house yeah that's what I meant by familiarize yourself – just know at a high level what everything in b law is. When you're reviewing, work on your weak tax areas before your weak b law areas. Ethics, though, I would know in detail because that's a much shorter section but worth just as much as b law.

Study everything! You just never know. If I had to pass Id say R8 is where I'd focus the least.

I got hammered on blaw on my reg test. The questions were pretty specific too.

Studying for blaw is worse than studying IT for BEC. I did every section on Ninja before doing blaw and was averaging 72. Now my average is 69 with about 200 questions left until I've seem them all at least once.

All I will say is not that important.

Just got out of Reg a few minutes ago, and I didn't even touch chapter 8 in Becker for review.

I will say Reg tested some really small details from random, disparate parts of the Becker book. It is ridiculous.

I got way more B-Law on my second REG attempt than my first REG attempt. I think its luck of the draw but I'd study it just to be safe

I would say go through those chapters once (blaw), then do a quick review. Focus most of your time on the first 4 chapters though, since EACH of those chapters is worth nearly the same amount of points as the 3 chapters of Blaw. Of course, I would do a quick review of BLAW, but focus at least 90% of your time on those first few chapters.

You can survive having a weak area of Blaw, since there's a good chance it won't be tested. Oddly, the test does seem to cover a specific area, within a section, on a given test. For example, you might see 10 questions about one type of thing, even though it's not normally tested. With that in mind, you're much, much, much more likely to get sunk, not knowing a tax topic.

It's also far, far, far more likely you'll encounter a tax question on the sims. Even if you do get a law question, it will likely be in the form of a multiple choice/selection item, which you could fairly easily guess on, unlike the tax stuff.

B=84 This exam was such a b**** that I thought I failed-don't know how these things work
A=76 Slacker I am, I'll happily take it
    R=81 I LOVE taxes
F=80 I don't wanna get banned for an expletive I'm thinking with "yea" proceeding it

I agree with Ratfus. I feel like I wasted a ton of time on business law compared to how it was covered on the exam. I feel like I could have totally skipped studying B-law, and my score wouldn't be much different.

    AUD - 96
    BEC - 88
    FAR - 88
    REG - TBS
