How easy is it to increase your score 10 points?

I recently took REG and scored a 67. I knew going into the exam I wasn’t fully prepared, but was hoping I could get lucky. Life sort of got in the way and so it was difficult to give my undivided attention to the exam. (Closed on my first house, coordinating a move into the house, business trips, being married, etc). However now that I am completely focused on this exam, I keep getting that voice in the back of my head saying “Whoa, you’ve got a lot to improve if you want to pass. And guess what, your BEC exam expires in January.”

Anyone have any tips on focusing in between exam retakes? Is the difference between a 67 and a 75 an incredible leap?

It's possible, Future_FLCPA. What study materials are you using?

    I'm using CPAExcel.

I think I studied at too high of a level the first time around due to time constraints. This time I'll be writing each chapter out and making notecards. I really hope it works. This is my last exam unless BEC expires in Jan 😡

I have about the same leap to make as you. I got 61 in REG.. I am making my own notes from my review provider. This time i am doing all the questions from the Wiley book and Test bank. So far I am making to get things sink in a lot better on the Tax Side..

B/Law…. is still floating in the clouds….

    FAR 05/27/14; 786/110 - Done !

Its probably not as easy as you think. Try to figure out why you got your score and fill that void in your studies. So if you didn't put enough time in the first time, increase your hours 20% more than last time. Its possible you need to change your study method, such as taking notes on the topics you struggle with. Other times, it's just about luck. You walk into the exam strong on topics that are barely covered, on weak on topics that are all over the test. I felt that way with REG but somehow got an 89.

I'm not familiar with CPAExcel, but consider adding the Ninja 10 point combo. I did that for Audit and it really helped me to understand the whole process. When I took REG, I did a ton of questions to get used to all the small details and tax questions. Good luck!
