For REG, is memorizing the individual dollar amounts a good idea or a waste of time? Things like deduction amounts, credits, AGI phase-out ranges, etc….do they test you on these amounts or are they generally given in the question?

I would not waste my time memorizing phase-outs, etc. I do not think I had any on my test. It is probably not worth the effort for the small chance you might get one question. Just my opinion. I'm studying REG again and (still) will not be trying to memorize these.
