I’ve gone over the tax portion of REG twice now. Trending well. I’m on business law right now and I’m hitting a huge wall. Every time I study, I start to feel like I want to stab my eyes out. Any tips? I’m trending okay in business law but just don’t have the desire to keep answering the questions provided by Becker. Lots of them are very long drawn out questions. The minutia questions are also pissing me off. I know they most likely won’t be on the exam. Am I wasting time by drowning in this mess?

I found the Business Law section hard to understand and didn't give it much attention because I thought not much would show up on the actual exam. However, my actual exam had a lot more Business Law than I anticipated and I was lucky to score a 75.

I wouldn't worry too much about the minutia questions for business law. I would make sure that I'm comfortable with Tax first. There aren't any TBS for Business Law so most of the test will be on Tax. I would just understand the key concepts under business law and ignore the really detailed stuff. You'll need to know the details for tax to get through the TBS. If you have already gone through the tax material twice and are trending well, I think you'll be in good shape for the exam. Practice sims for tax because it seems most of us who have taken the exam struggled with tax Sims. Took it last Monday and still nervous waiting for Feb 3 score release.

Thanks! I'm definitely not trying to avoid Blaw but getting bombarded with these long drawn out questions coupled with minutia is killing me. It feels very inefficient. I'm just going to speed through a maybe half the MCQ's and re-watch the lectures before the test.

Yes, you don't need to go too bogged down in the details for business law. Just know the key terms and concepts, and you will be fine.
