I’ve read that on REG, they tend to provide certain amounts that you need in order to calculate the answer in the question, like amounts which change frequently with the changing tax code, so I was wondering if someone could tell me some specific amounts which I’ll very likely need but are NOT likely to be given.

A good rule of thumb is to go with phase outs is “If it's really high, it probably doesn't count” and “if it's really low. then the full credit amount applies.” It's the only way to go with that stuff in my opinion…
