I have taken REG twice now, once in Nov 2011 and once in Nov 2012, got a 72 and 70. I did all of Becker for both. The last one that I took in Nov 2012, I did really well on all of the MC and terrible on the simulations.

I’m not really sure how else to prepare for these as I wrote my own notes and studied the topics in detail. I’ve basically memorized the answers to all of the MC questions so I’ve started working through the GLEIM MC questions now. FAR expires in March so I have to pass REG, which I am going to take sometime in mid Feb. Does anybody have any recommendations on how to study the 3rd time around? Should I stick to GLEIM, working through the MC and Simulations, use Becker again, or do both? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

That happened to me with REG. I did well on the MC, but weaker in SIMS. You need to self-quiz yourself on the hardest material IMO for REG. Imagine the test makers asking you questions for the SIMS on how to do xyz, but think of all the material you feel weaker on. That's how I passed the 2nd time.

    REG - 11/12 - 87
    BEC - 12/12 - 84
    AUD - 5/13 - 97
    FAR - 8/13 - 84

    Ethics - DONE

    Class of 2012 - 2013

Did you lookup your sims in the authoritative literature? If you're good at the MCQ then you should have plenty of time to do so.

    FAR - 79 - 07/2012
    AUD - 65, 78 - 11/2012
    BEC - 76 - 11/2012
    REG - 78 - 01/2013
    ETH - 98 - 01/2013

    Material: Wiley books

I haven't taken REG yet, but I'm in the process of studying for it. I think doing Gleim MCQs is a good idea since you have the Becker MCQs memorized. However, if you aren't happy with Gleim, then I would highly recommend the Wiley Online Test Bank. I actually enjoy studying with it, and it has some nice tools to keep track of your progress. I only do the practice sessions, which gives instant feedback and explanation for correct/incorrect answers. I have heard that the Wiley Online Test banks SIMS are a more accurate representation of the actual exam than other reviews', but I don't have any personal experience with others. Good luck!

    FAR - 81 (8/31/12)
    AUD - 93 (10/19/12)
    BEC - 79 (11/27/12)
    REG - 92 (2/8/13) DONE! All 1st attempt!
